After retrieving the maps you are interested in, you can use the built-in DataViz WebApp or MapStudio WebApp to browse the map via one of the following ways (View permission is required. If you only have search permission, you need to perform Resource Application and Authorization first):
- In the list mode, click "Open Map" link on the map item to open the map
- In the grid mode, click "..." icon, select "Open Map" on the map card to open the map
- Enter the map details page, click "Open Map" button
View the map using DataViz WebApp
DataViz WebApp is a professional online mapping application software for users to quickly make online map and collaboratively edit (For details of supported browsers, see: Supported Browsers by DataViz). The following will introduce the supported operations when browsing a map with DataViz WebApp.
Browsing maps
Drag the map to browse different areas of the map. Click the features on the map to view the attributes.
Zooming maps
Click the "zoom in/out" icon
on the right side, or directly use mouse scrolling to zoom a map. Click
the "entire" icon
to zoom the map to the
current window size.
View map details
Click the "details" button on the upper-left corner
to view the detailed information of the map, including map name, label,
author, description, update time, etc.
Map measurement
When browsing a map, you can click the "measure"
icon
on the right side to measure the features in the map. Distance and area
measurement is supported.
- Measure Distance: Measure the distance of a line on the map. Select "Length", click on the map to draw the start point of the line for measurement, continue to click on the map to draw other following points, finally double click the left key of the mouse to end the draw action. The total length of the line will be displayed. Click the "Clear" button to clear all measurement results.
- Measure Area: Measure the area of a polygon on the map. Select "Area", click on the map to draw the start point of the polygon for measurement, continue to click on the map to draw other following points of the polygon, finally double click the left key of the mouse to end the draw action. To draw a polygon successfully, you should at least draw three points. When finished, the area of the polygon will be displayed. Click the "Clear" button to clear measurement results
Edit maps
The "Edit" button on the
upper-left corner allows you to edit the map with WebApp if you have edit

View the map using MapStudio WebApp
MapStudio is a brand-new online map application, supporting more flexible map style configuration. The following will introduce the supported operations when browsing a map with MapStudio WebApp.
Browsing maps
Drag the map to browse different areas of the map. Click the features on the map to view the attributes.
Zooming maps
Click the "zoom in/out"
icon on the right side, or directly use mouse scrolling to zoom
a map. Click the "entire" icon
to zoom
the map to the current window size.
View map details
Click the "details" button
on the upper-left corner to view the detailed information of the map,
including map name, label, author, description, update time, etc.
Layer management
You can click the
icon in the upper right corner to view the map layer list and click the
icon to control the visibility of the layer list. For a single layer,
click the
icon to control the visibility of the layer, click the
icon to pop up the attribute table information of the layer. You can perform
the following operations on the attribute table:
- Search: Support keyword search and box-selected search
- Keyword search: In the search box in the upper-right corner of the attribute table, enter the keyword of the field you want to query.
- Box-selected search: Click "All features" next to the search box, select a box-selected way in the drop-down menu (including rectangular, circular, polygon). When the cursor becomes "+", drag the cursor to draw the search range, or you can press the Tab and enter the node position in the pop-up window to draw.
- Filter: The fields in the attribute table support
filtering. Click the filter icon
in the upper-right corner of the attribute table, and uncheck the fields that need to filter.
- Sorting: Columns of the attribute table support sorting by ascending or descending order.
- Linkage: Support the linkage of attribute and map. Click on a row in the attribute table, then the location and the attribute information of the feature will be displayed on the map.
- Show the number of features: In the top left of the attribute table, it will show the number of features added in the layer.
Edit maps
The "Edit" button on the
upper-left corner allows you to edit the map with WebApp if you have edit
