Add End Symbol

To add an End Symbol to a subline, you can add the specified symbol at a special position on the subline, so that when you use a linetype symbol to symbolize a line object, you can add the specified symbol at a special position on the line object, such as the start and end points of the line object, the node of the line object, the midpoint of the line object, and so on. For Detail Description of the child line's End Symbol, see the Child Line End Symbol section in the 2D linetype symbol composition .

The area shown in the following figure is the area for setting the End Symbol of the subline.

Sub-line End Symbol setting area

First, select the sub-line to be added with End Symbol in the sub-line list, and then make corresponding settings in the sub-line End Symbol setting area.

As shown in the figure below, these buttons list the End Symbol types of all the sublines provided. Select the button corresponding to the end Symbol Type to be added. At this time, the End Symbol can be set in the lower area, including: specify the symbol as the End Symbol. Set the height, width, Rotation angle, etc. Of the symbol. The settings in this area will be applied to the selected end Symbol Type.

  • Shape

From the Shape drop-down list, you can specify a symbol as an End Symbol. Here, some preset shapes can be used as End Symbols. You can also select Select Symbol from the drop-down list to open the Select Symbol dialog box. Select another symbol as the End Symbol for the child line.

    • Rotation angle

Set the Rotation angle of the End Symbol in degrees. When setting the value, you can either directly enter the value in the Rotation angle value box, or click the increase or decrease button on the right side to set the value.

When End Symbol is set for a child line

by Select Symbol, the selected symbol is rotated by 180 degrees by default. That is, the rotation Start Angle (0 degrees) of the symbol itself is inconsistent with the rotation Start Angle (0 degrees) of the subline End Symbol, with a difference of 180 degrees. Therefore, if the End Symbol display angle of the subline is consistent with the Rotation angle of the symbol itself, it is necessary to set the Rotation angle of the End Symbol equal to 180 degrees.

      Caution:
The Rotation angle can be adjusted

only when the symbol selected in the Select Symbol dialog is the End Symbol of the child line.

  • Symbol Width/Height

Sets the size of the End Symbol, using both the height and width values to control the size of the symbol. If the Lock Aspect Ratio check box is checked, the width to height ratio of the symbol itself is kept unchanged, so that when the height value of the symbol is set, the width value of the symbol is calculated accordingly, otherwise, the height value is changed by changing the width value. When setting the value, you can either directly enter the value in the value box, or click the increase or decrease button on the right side to set the value.

    Caution:
    The

symbol height and width values range from 0 to 25.5.
