Particle Object creation
Instructions for use
Particle system is a technology used in software to simulate the effects of water, fire, fog and gas in the real world. It does this by creating and controlling the behavior and attributes of a large number of individual particles, rendering specific morphologies and dynamic effects through a combination of Particle objects.
SuperMap iDesktopX supports stereoscopic effects by creating Particle Objects and adjusting their properties such as shape, size, and so on. Currently, supported Particle Objects include: Flame, Explosion, Fountain, Smoke, Fireworks, Tail Flame, and Fireworks.
Function entrance
- Object Drawing Tab-> Particle Object Group
Operation steps
- Open or create a new Scene, add a CAD Dataset or KML file to the Scene, and make the CAD Dataset or KML Layer editable, activating the Object Drawing tab.
- On the Object Drawing tab, in the Particle Object group, select the type of Particle Object to be applied, and click the left mouse button at the appropriate location on the CAD layer or KML Layer to add a Particle Object.
- After each successful addition of a Particle Object, the Particle Object's position and Scale Factor parameters are displayed in the Particle Object Management panel on the right side of the scene. The user can change the Particle Object Parameters according to actual requirements.
- Location:
- Height Mode: Sets the height mode used by the Particle Object. For height mode, see: Details about height mode .
- Data source: the source of Select Data, which is above-ground data or underground data. Wherein the underground data is used for displaying the underground Scene effects.
- X/Y/Z coordinates: Sets the X/Y/Z coordinate values of the Particle Object's position in space. X and Y latitude and longitude coordinates cannot exceed ± 180.
- Scale Factor: Set the scale of enlargement or reduction along the (X, Y, Z) axis respectively. The default value is 1.
- Location:
- When you are finished adding and editing Particle Objects, right-click to exit the add state. After Adding, if you need to edit the Particle Object, you can select the Particle Object when the layer is in editing state. This can be done by adjusting the parameters in the Particle Object Management panel or by adjusting the Particle Object bounding box.
