Fog Effect Settings
Instructions for use
Height fog is a fog effect simulation technique based on scene vertical coordinates, enhancing scene realism by simulating real fog effects. This technique is only available for the 3D Scene Rendering Engine V2.
Function Entry
- Scene Tab->Properties Group->Scene Properties Button->Scene Properties Panel->Sky&Weather Option->Fog Module
Operation Steps
- Open an existing scene or create a new scene, click the Scene Tab->Properties Group->Scene Properties, and the Scene Properties panel will pop up.
- Find the Fog module under the Sky&Weather option, and set specific parameter values as needed to achieve the desired fog effect.
- Enabled: Controls whether height fog is enabled via the checkbox, unchecked by default.
- Color: Sets the fog color via the dropdown color panel.
- Density: Sets the density coefficient of global fog, ranging from [0,1], default value is 0.06. Smaller values make the fog thinner, with better transparency and longer visibility distance; larger values make the fog denser, with poorer transparency and shorter visibility distance.
- Attenuation: Sets the rate of change of fog density with height, ranging from [0,1], default value is 0.4. Larger values indicate a faster rate of change.
- By clicking the Reset Defaults button, the adjusted parameters can be reset to system defaults.
