"Style" Tab
"Style" Tab: Used to set the font style used by the label objects (text) in the current unique value label thematic map.
The following figure is an example of a unique value label thematic map created using the PM2.5.smwu data in the SampleData, with the Airlevel field from the vector point dataset PM25_20161103 as the unique value field:

- Single Value Expression: The combo box is used to display and set the thematic variable for the current unique value thematic map, which is a property field of the current layer or a mathematical expression of property fields. Label objects corresponding to objects with the same unique value in the field are displayed using the same text style, while objects corresponding to different unique values have different text styles.
- The drop-down list of the combo box lists the names of the numeric property fields of the vector dataset that can create a unique value label map. Users can select any field to change the thematic variable used by the current unique value, or enter a field name in the combo box, but the field must exist in the drop-down list. Users can also select the "Expression..." item in the combo box's drop-down list to construct a mathematical expression of property fields in the pop-up "SQL Expression" dialog.
- Reset Unique Value after Expression Changed: If this checkbox is checked, after the field expression is updated, the current unique value label thematic map will use the new thematic variable to reconfigure the styles of label objects (text) and refresh the display effects.
- Color Scheme: The combo box on the right side of the label is used to set the text color style for each single-value label object in the unique value label thematic map. The drop-down list provides a series of color schemes. When a color scheme is selected, the text of label objects for each value segment is assigned different colors based on the color variation pattern of the scheme. The current unique value label thematic map will then use the new color scheme to reconfigure the text colors of label objects and refresh the display effects.
- Rotation Angle: If this checkbox is checked, you can enter a numerical value in the right-side input box as the label's rotation angle. You can also directly select a field from the drop-down list and use its field value as the label's rotation angle. This type supports both numeric and text types.
- Label Unique Value List: The bottom area of the "Style" tab is the list of all unique values in the current unique value label thematic map. This list is primarily used to display each unique value, the text style adopted by objects of each unique value type, and other display controls. Each item in the list corresponds to one type of unique value.
- Set whether a unique value corresponding to a thematic value is visible: The visibility button is used to control whether the corresponding unique value in the unique value label thematic map layer is displayed. Click this icon to control the display.
- Unique Value: Used to display the unique value of the sub-item. This unique value is the attribute value displayed in the thematic map. If you need to modify the content of an existing unique value, you must modify the attribute value in the corresponding attribute table; modifications here are invalid.
- Title: Used to display and modify the title of the sub-item. You can edit it directly in the cell of the "Title" column. The unique value title is used to assist in understanding the specific meaning of the unique value and does not affect the displayed content of the unique value in the thematic map.
- Set whether a unique value corresponding to a thematic value is visible: The visibility button is used to control whether the corresponding unique value in the unique value label thematic map layer is displayed. Click this icon to control the display.
- The visibility button is used to control the visibility of label objects belonging to the selected unique value item(s) in the current unique value label thematic map. Multiple label range segment items can be selected simultaneously. Click this button for visibility control. When the button is pressed down, label objects belonging to the selected label range segment(s) are visible; when the button is not pressed down, they are invisible.
- The text style button is used to set the text style for the selected unique value(s), meaning all labels belonging to the selected unique value(s) will be displayed using the set text style. After selecting one or more label range segment items (use the Shift key to select multiple items), click this button. You can set the text label style for the selected single-value label(s) in the pop-up text style dialog. Clicking the Save button simultaneously allows you to save the color scheme to the color scheme manager.
- Add or Delete Thematic Values: The Add button is used to manage thematic values in the thematic map. For detailed descriptions of thematic values, please refer to Modifying the Unique Value Thematic Map.
- Sub-item Sorting and Reversing Color Scheme: The Ascending button sorts sub-items in ascending order based on their values; the Descending button sorts them in descending order; the Reverse button adjusts the color scheme in the opposite order.
Note:The fields in the drop-down lists of Single Value Expression and Rotation Angle are displayed by default as Field Alias. If needed, you can switch to field names in the File tab -> Options group. For details, please refer to the Preferences document.
