"Style" Tab

"Style" Tab: Used to set the font style for label objects (text) in the current Unique Value Label Thematic Map.

  1. Expression: The ComboBox displays and sets the thematic variable for current Unique Value Thematic Map, which can be a property field of current layer or mathematical expression of property fields. Label objects corresponding to identical unique values share the same text style, while different unique values exhibit distinct text styles.
    • The dropdown list shows numeric property fields of vector datasets available for creating Unique Value Label Maps. Users may select any field to modify the current unique value's thematic variable, or input an existing field name from the dropdown list. Choosing "Expression..." in the dropdown opens the "SQL Expression" dialog for constructing mathematical expressions.
    • Reset Unique Value after Expression Changed: When checked, updating field expressions will reconfigure label objects (text) styles using the new thematic variable and refresh display effects.
  2. Color: The right-side ComboBox sets text color styles for each unique value label. The dropdown provides color options where selected colors assign different hues to labels based on color variation patterns, then refreshes display effects accordingly.
  3. Label Rotation Angle: When checked, users can set rotation angle fields in the right ComboBox. Rotation angles for each label can be stored in specific property fields, supporting both numeric and text types.
  4. Label Unique Value List: The bottom area displays all unique values in the current Unique Value Label Thematic Map, showing text styles and display controls for each unique value category.
    • Visibility Control for Thematic Values: The visibility button controls display of corresponding unique values in the thematic map layer. Click the icon to toggle visibility.
      • Unique Value: Displays sub-item's unique value, which represents the attribute value shown in the thematic map. To modify values, edit them in the attribute table directly (changes here are invalid).
      • Title: Displays and edits sub-item titles through direct cell editing. Titles assist in understanding value meanings without affecting actual display content.
  5. The visibility button controls label object visibility for selected unique values in the current map. Multiple items can be selected simultaneously. Pressed state indicates visibility, while unpressed hides selected labels.
  6. The text style button configures text styles for selected unique values. After selecting one/multiple items (using Shift key), click to open the Text Style dialog. Clicking Save preserves color schemes to Color Scheme Manager.
  7. Add/Remove Thematic Values: The Add button manages thematic values. For detailed operations, refer to Modify Unique Value Thematic Map.
  8. Item Sorting & Color Scheme Reversal: Ascending button sorts items by value ascendingly, Descending button sorts descendingly. Reverse button inverts color scheme order.
