Modify Grid Unique-values Map

Instructions for use

In the " Grid Unique-values Map" window, the user can modify the Parameter Settings of the Grid Unique-values Map to achieve a more desirable thematic map effect. Double-click a Grid Unique-values Map layer in Layer Manager, or right click and select Modify Thematic Map "to display the Thematic Map Parameter panel. The parameters are divided into two categories: attribute and advanced. The details are as follows:

Properties Panel

When making a Grid Unique-values Map based on the Raster Layer, the contents displayed in the "Grid Unique-values Map" "window are shown in the following figure.

  1. The Color Scheme: " Color Scheme:" combo box is used to display and set the color style of all pixel values in the current Grid Unique-Values Map.
    • Click the Drop-down Button of the combo box to select a Color Scheme in the pop-up drop-down list. Different pixel values of the current Grid Unique-values Map are assigned with different colors according to the color change mode of the Color Scheme.
  2. Visibility Settings: Available from the toolbar Both the visible button and the visible icon in the thematic value item can be used to control whether the pixel corresponding to the thematic value is visible.
    • Click the visible icon button in the toolbar to control the visibility of pixels corresponding to all selected thematic values in the thematic value list.
    • Click the visible icon in each thematic value item to control the visibility of the pixel corresponding to the thematic value.
  3. Set the display color of the pixel corresponding to the thematic value: The user can click the color button on the toolbar or click the pixel style icon button in each thematic value item in the list to set the color of the pixel corresponding to all the selected thematic values in the current Grid Unique-values Map in the pop-up " Color" panel. In the " Color" panel, the user can directly select the color in the system predefined color table, or edit it in the dialog box to obtain the required color.
  4. Add or remove thematic values:
    • The Add button is used to manage thematic values in thematic maps. Click the Add button to pop up the thematic value management interface. You can add or delete thematic values in the interface, or add new thematic values in the dialog box below. After thematic values are added, the list of thematic values is updated synchronously to correspond to the modified thematic values.
    • Delete thematic item: select the thematic value to be deleted in the thematic value list, and click Delete in the toolbar to delete the corresponding item of the selected thematic value. When you delete a theme value, the object corresponding to the original theme value is displayed in the default style.
  5. Single Value: It is used to display the value of the selected single value item. The edit box behind the single value can be directly edited and modified. It is only valid when a thematic value is selected in the thematic value list. If the modified single value already exists, the setting is invalid and the original value is restored.
  6. Thematic value annotation content setting: The text in the green rectangular box shown in the above figure is the annotation content of the thematic value. The annotation content can be modified. Just select the annotation content to be edited and click the mouse again. The text content can be changed to editable state.
  7. The Parameter Settings in the "Grid Unique-values Map" window will be reflected to the corresponding thematic map layer in the current Map in real time, that is, WYSIWYG. You can also disable Enable Real-time Refresh by unchecking the Enable Instant Refresh "checkbox at the bottom of the dialog box. If the "Enable Instant Refresh" "check box is not checked, the user can click the" Apply "button at the bottom of the dialog box to apply the Parameter Settings in the dialog box to the current thematic map after completing the Parameter Settings.

Remark

  1. The Grid Unique-values Map made and modified by the user can be saved as a template so as to be applied to the thematic map making of other layers. For details of Save as thematic map template, please refer to Save to Thematic Map Template Library .
  2. When Create Thematic Map in the Use Template mode, the user can directly select the saved template in the drop-down menu of the Template Drop-down Button to apply it to the production of other thematic maps.
