Modify A Grid Unique Value Map

Feature Description

In the Grid Unique Value Map window, users can modify various parameters of the grid unique value map to achieve a thematic map effect that better meets their needs. Double-click a grid unique value map layer in the Layer Manager, or right-click and select "Modify Thematic Map" to open the thematic map parameter panel. The parameters are divided into two categories: Properties and Advanced. Details are as follows:

Properties Panel

When creating a grid unique value map based on a raster layer, the content displayed in the "Grid Unique Value Map" window is shown in the figure below.

  1. Color Scheme: The "Color Scheme:" combo box is used to display and set the color style of all cell values in the current grid unique value map.
    • Click the drop-down button of the combo box, and select a color scheme from the drop-down list. Different cell values in the current grid unique value map will be assigned different colors based on the color variation pattern of the selected color scheme.
  2. Special Value Setting: Used to set the display effects of cells with specific raster values.
    • Special Value: The text box is used to input a specific raster value. The user can set the display effects for cells with that specific value.
    • Special Value Style: Used to set the display color for the specified grid value. Click the drop-down button on the right side of the "Special Style:" label, and select a color from the color panel. Cells with that grid value will then display in the specified color.
    • Special Value Transparent Display: The check box is used to set whether the specified grid value is displayed transparently. Check this box to make the cells with the specified grid value transparent; uncheck it to display the cells with the specified color.
  3. Single Value Title: The "Single Value Title" text box is used to display and set the title of the current grid unique value map. Users can directly input or modify the title content.
  4. Visibility Setting: The visibility button in the toolbar and the visibility icon in each thematic value item can be used to control whether the cells corresponding to the thematic value are visible.
    • Click the visibility icon button in the toolbar to control the visibility of cells corresponding to all selected thematic values in the thematic value list.
    • Click the visibility icon in each thematic value item to control the visibility of cells corresponding to that specific thematic value.
  5. Set Display Color for Cells Corresponding to Thematic Values: Users can click the color button on the toolbar, or click the cell style icon button in each thematic value item in the list, to set the color of cells corresponding to all selected thematic values in the current grid unique value map. In the "Color" panel, users can directly select a color from the system predefined color table, or edit to obtain the desired color in the dialog box.
  6. Add or Delete Thematic Values:
    • The Add button is used to manage thematic values in the thematic map. Click the Add button to open the thematic value management interface, where you can add or delete thematic values. You can also add new thematic values in the dialog box below. After adding a thematic value, the thematic value list will be updated synchronously to correspond to the modified thematic values.
    • Delete Thematic Values: Select the thematic value to be deleted in the thematic value list, and click the Delete button on the toolbar to delete the corresponding item. After deletion, the objects corresponding to the deleted thematic value will be displayed using the default style.
  7. Single Value: Used to display the value of the selected single value item. The edit box after the single value can be edited directly. This is only effective when a single thematic value is selected in the thematic value list. If the modified single value already exists, the setting will be invalid and the original value will be restored.
  8. Title: The "Title" column in the thematic value list is used to display and modify the title corresponding to each thematic value. You can directly edit the title in the cell.
  9. All parameters in the "Grid Unique Value Map" window are reflected in real time in the corresponding thematic map layer of the current map, achieving a "what you see is what you get" effect. Users can also uncheck the "Enable Instant Refresh" check box at the bottom of the dialog box to disable real-time refresh. If "Enable Instant Refresh" is unchecked, users can click the "Apply" button at the bottom of the dialog box to apply the parameters in the dialog box to the current thematic map after completing all parameter settings.

Notes

  1. Both the creation and modification of grid unique value maps can be saved as templates for application to thematic maps of other layers. For details on saving a thematic map template, see: Save to Thematic Map Template Library.
  2. When creating a thematic map using a template, users can directly select a saved template from the drop-down menu of the "Template" drop-down button to apply it to the creation of other thematic maps.
