Create Graduated Symbol Thematic Map

Feature Description

By using the Create Graduated Symbol Thematic Map function, you can quickly generate thematic maps based on templates. While this method provides efficiency, the initial results may not fully meet user requirements and usually require further adjustments. Creating Graduated Symbol Thematic Maps through thematic map templates not only streamlines the workflow but also facilitates batch mapping operations, enabling effective reuse of template resources.

When applying thematic map templates, ensure the existence of required field expressions. If the current layer lacks thematic map fields specified in the template, a prompt dialog (as shown below) will appear, requiring users to specify fields again.

Steps

  1. Select a target vector layer in the Layer Manager for creating a Graduated Symbol Thematic Map.
  2. Right-click a vector layer in the Layer Manager, select "Create Thematic Map..." from the context menu. In the dialog, click "Graduated Symbol Thematic Map" and choose a template to create the map.
  3. The template-based Graduated Symbol Thematic Map will automatically display as a thematic layer in the current map window and appear as a new entry in the Layer Manager.

Notes

  • The "Graduated Symbol Thematic Map" window displays default settings including thematic variables, graduated symbol styles, and related parameters. Users can adjust these settings to optimize the thematic map presentation.
  • After closing the configuration window, right-click the layer in the Layer Manager and select "Modify Thematic Map" to reopen the settings window for adjustments.
