The desktop product supports editing of unique value thematic map, graudated color thematic map, label thematic map, custom thematic map, statistical thematic map, graduated symbol thematic map, dot density thematic map, custom thematic map, grid unique value map and grid graudated color map. That is, users can directly modify the geometry in already created thematic maps without needing to edit the source data first and then recreate the thematic map.

Instructions for use

• When the source data for generating thematic maps and the thematic map layer coexist in a map, editing the thematic map layer actually edits the source data of the thematic map layer. For example, if you move a geometry in the thematic map layer, the corresponding geometry in the source data layer will also move.
• Since thematic maps rely on the source data used to create them, editing a thematic map will also change the source data. If you do not want to damage the source data, please back up the data in advance.

Operation Steps

1. Create a thematic map for a vector or raster layer in the layer manager.
2. Click the edit button in front of the thematic map layer node to enable editing.
3. Edit the geometry in the thematic map layer. The editing method is the same as for ordinary geometry. For details on editing geometry, refer to Edit Objects.
