Mosaic Dataset No Value Operation Instruction

Mosaic Dataset Default No Value

In the Mosaic Dataset attribute panel, Mosaic Dataset None lists the none values for each band of the image. Typically, all bands of the image are equal to none values. None values have a default value that is equal to the none value added to the first image in the Mosaic Dataset.

Here are a few cases where the Mosaic Dataset defaults to no value:

  • If the first Image Files in the Mosaic Dataset contains no value information, the Mosaic Dataset No Value is equal to the No Value by default.
  • The first Image Files in the Mosaic Dataset has no valueless information. The program identifies whether there is a valueless area. If there is a valueless area, the corresponding grid value is used as the default value of the Mosaic Dataset.
  • The first Image Files in the Mosaic Dataset does not contain null information, nor does it contain a null area. By default, the Mosaic Dataset null is equal to the maximum valid value of the Image Data type. For example, for a 16-bit unsigned image, the maximum valid value is 65535.

Modify Mosaic Dataset has no values

Since the default value of Mosaic Dataset without value is to extract the first image without value, the first image may have the abnormal situation of missing no-value information and wrong no-value information. Therefore, the default value is wrong and needs to be modified. For modification, see View Mosaic Dataset Properties.

Enable Mosaic Dataset No Value

After the Modify Mosaic Dataset has no value, you need to check Replaces Image Missing No Value to make the new no value effective; If you need to use Mosaic Dataset with no value to replace the wrong information with no value in Image Files, you need to check Replaces all images with no value at the same time. After all the modifications are completed, you need to click the Apply button to make the settings effective.
