Save Dataset As
The Save Dataset As function allows saving one or more selected datasets to a specified path in a new file datasource. It simplifies the operation by creating a new datasource during the save process.
Function Entry
Context menu of the dataset in Workspace Manager → Save Dataset As item.
Parameter Description
- Target Dataset: Supports displaying and setting the target dataset name.
- SmID Unchanged: Determines whether the saved dataset retains the original SmID. If not selected, the SmID will be reordered.
Delete Dataset
The delete function is used to remove specified datasets. Multiple selected datasets can be deleted simultaneously.
Function Entry
Context menu of the dataset in Workspace Manager → Delete Dataset item.
Operation Steps
In Workspace Manager, select the dataset(s) to be deleted. Use the Shift or Ctrl key to select multiple datasets.
- Right-click the selected dataset(s), choose Delete Dataset from the context menu, and a confirmation dialog will appear.
- The Delete key can also be used as a shortcut to quickly perform the delete operation.
Tip:- The delete button is only enabled when there are selected datasets in Workspace Manager.
- When selecting multiple vector datasets, only datasets within the same datasource can be selected; cross-datasource selection is not supported.
- If a dataset to be deleted is used in Create a Relational Dataset, the deletion will also remove its associated relation dataset. However, deleting only the relation dataset does not affect the corresponding source dataset or relationship.
Close Dataset
The close dataset command is used to close one or more opened datasets in the current workspace.
Function Entry
Context menu of the dataset in Workspace Manager → Close Dataset item.
Operation Steps
- Right-click the dataset node(s) to be closed in Workspace Manager, and select the Close Dataset command from the context menu.
- When creating a spatial index for a vector dataset, the dataset must be closed first before proceeding with the operation.
Tip:After clicking the close dataset button, a prompt window will appear: "Data related to the dataset(s) will also be closed. Do you want to close the dataset(s)?".
