Data source Permissions Management

Function Description

It is used to manage the operation authority of ordinary users to Datasource. The permissions of Datasource include NONE, Usage Permissions, and Creation Permissions. The description of each permission is shown in the following table:

Data source Permissions type Permission description
No permission Cannot open Current Data source.
Usage Permissions Only Open Datasource is supported. Cannot create a new/Delete Dataset.
Creation Permissions Create Dataset is supported. Users other than Superuser only support the deletion of Datasets created by themselves.

Only super users can manage Datasource Permissions. Other users can only view the allocation of Datasource Permissions.

Operating instructions

  1. Select Manage..-> Datasource Permission in the Workspace Manager Database-type DatasourceContext Menu.
  2. On the Datasource Permissions dialog, click the Datasource Permissions cell of the corresponding record in the list to set permissions for User/Role.
    Hint:

    If there is no User/Role whose permission needs to be set in the list, click the Add button above the list to add the User/Role to the list.

  3. Click the OK button to complete the Datasource Permissions administration.
