Manage Datasource Permission

Feature Description

Used to manage the operation permissions of regular users on the datasource. Datasource permissions include three types: NONE, Usage Permissions, and Creation Permissions. The details of each permission type are as follows:

Datasource Permissions type Permission description
No permission Cannot open Current Datasource.
Usage Permissions Only Open Datasource is supported. Cannot create a new/Delete Dataset.
Creation Permissions Create Dataset is supported. Users other than Superuser only support the deletion of Datasets created by themselves.

Only superusers can manage Datasource Permissions. Other users can only view the allocation of Datasource Permissions.

Steps

  1. Select Manage..-> Datasource Permission in the Workspace Manager Database Datasource Context Menu.
  2. On the Datasource Permissions dialog, click the Datasource Permissions cell of the corresponding record in the list to set permissions for User/Role.
    Hint:

    If there is no User/Role whose permission needs to be set in the list, click the Add button above the list to add the User/Role to the list.

  3. Click the OK button to complete the Datasource Permissions administration.
