Function Description
It is used to manage the operation permission of User/Role to Dataset. Dataset permissions include Select, Insert, Update, and Delete. Insert, update, and delete take effect only when they have Datasource Creation Permissions. Each permission is described in the following table:
Dataset permissions type | Permission description |
Choose | Support browsing Current Data set, and Select Object in Map. |
Insert | Support for inserting new objects in the Dataset. The default includes select permissions. |
Update | Support editing of existing objects in the Current Data set, including spatial location and Attributes. The default includes select permissions. |
Delete | Support for deleting objects in the Current Data set. The default includes select permissions. |
Only the super user and the Dataset owner can manage the Dataset permissions, and have all the permissions of the Dataset by default, and the permissions cannot be modified.
Other users only support viewing Dataset permissions assignments.
Operating instructions
- Select Manage..-> Permission .. in the DatasetContext Menu of the Database-type Datasource to pop up the Dataset permis sions dialog box.
- The Usage Permissions of some User/Roles to Dataset are displayed in the dialog box. Check or uncheck the permission check box corresponding to User/Role. Hint:

If you uncheck all permissions for a User/Role and click OK to open the Dataset Permissions dialog box again, the User/Role will be removed from the list.

If there is no User/Role in the list whose permission needs to be set, click the Add button above the list to add the User/Role to the list.
- Dataset permissions
can be managed for multiple User/Roles at one time.
