• Data content: Mainly describes information related to maritime traffic management, such as route information, vessel traffic services, pilotage, routing measures, and vessel reporting systems, etc.
• Relationship with S-101: Compared with the S-101 data, which focuses on providing basic navigational data with a lower update frequency, S-127 places more emphasis on dynamic information directly related to maritime traffic management. It includes more detailed navigational information, such as service areas, service content, and contact information, along with relevant metadata such as data quality, producing institution, data source, and release date. Due to the lower complexity, smaller volume, and easier update process, S-127 data should be prioritized.
