Connect to the iServer service

Before inputting the Online Analysis data, it is necessary to start the iServer service and set the Login Info such as the address and user name of the iServer server to ensure that the iServer service can be used.
The program will automatically record the Server Address that the user has connected to this machine. When connecting again, you can select the corresponding Server Address in the drop-down menu of the iServer Server Address, and the program will Autoconnect; You can also select New Connection to log in to a new iServer service.

  • Server Address: Set the IP address of the started and configured iServer service;
  • User name/password: Set the account and password of the iServer administrator.

Data entry

Online Analysis supports HDFS and iServer Catalog for data input. Please refer to Data Preparation for data use and preparation.

HDFS

Use the data input mode of HDFS, click the "Browse" button on the right of "Select File", enter the data address of HDFS in the pop-up dialog box, and select the CSV file to be analyzed. It should be noted that:

  1. HDFS can store multiple types of data such as point, line, and surface. However, iServer currently only supports analysis of point data. If you select data other than Point Data Type for analysis, you will be prompted with Analysis failed.
  2. The CSV data involved in the analysis must have a corresponding meta file. If the meta file has not been created, click OK in the "metaFile is unexisted, please use after setting" prompt box, and then you can set the Parameters in the pop-up dialog box. After Save, a meta file is created for the CSV file.

iServer Catalog

Using The data input mode of iServer Catalog, click the Drop-down Button on the right side of Dataset to display the Data Types available for analysis in the current Server Address in the pop-up Dataset List. The user selects the data for the current analysis. Users can also register and import new data for the current analysis through Registration Data and Import Data.

  1. Register Data: Click the Register Data button, and the program will automatically pop up the service page of iServer data registration to register the new self-managed Data Save location, namely the disk shared directory, HDFS directory and Spatial Data Library. Self-managed data appears under the sharefile resource. For a detailed description of registration data, see: Registration data .
  2. Import Data: Click the Import Data button, and the program will automatically pop up the iServer datacatalog relational data list page. On this page, users can perform Import Data operations. Note: Before you Import Data, configure the iServer Datastore to the currently connected iServer Server Address.
    • Under the relationship/data import resource, you can Upload a Data set. File types that can be uploaded include UDBDatasource, CSV File, Workspace, Excel File, GeoJson File, and ShapeFile. And UDB Datasource, ShapeFile files, and Workspace import formats need to be compressed into *.zip format.

    • The uploaded Dataset can be viewed in the Dataset List of the relationship/datasets resource.

  3. The data successfully input through the above two methods will be displayed in the Dataset drop-down menu, and the user can select the data used for the current analysis.
