Steps

The purpose of this map is to highlight road names in urban areas. First create a uniform style label map to annotate road data, then enable label alongline function and configure its advanced parameters.

1. In the Layer Manager, select RoadLine1.
2. Click the New button in the Thematic Map group under the Maps tab. In the "Create Thematic Map" window, choose the "Uniform Style" template under "Label Thematic Map".
3. Configure parameters on the Properties page:
   Select "NAME" field for Label Expression to generate a default style label thematic map based on road names. Use default values for other parameters.
4. Configure settings on the Style page:
   

   Parameter	Value
   Font	Microsoft YaHei
   Font Size	15
   Alignment	Center Point
   Font Effect	Bold

   Use default values for other parameters.
5. In the Advanced page of Uniform Label Thematic Map window:
   Check Label Alongline to enable this feature. Simultaneously check Fixed Text Angle. Use default values for other parameters.
6. Modify display style for RoadLine1. Right-click RoadLine1 layer in Layer Manager, select Layer Style from context menu. In the Line Symbol Selector window:
   Set Line Type to System0, Line Width to 0.6 mm, and Line Color to RGB(121,57,4).

   After completing above settings, the display effects will appear as shown below:
