Feature Description
Two skills, idesktopx-basic-skills and idesktopx-generate-map, are provided, inheriting multiple desktop development skills, including 3D scene operations, data import, cartography, data processing, data analysis, and process orchestration.
After configuration, the Agent can assist in executing intelligent tasks related to SuperMap iDesktopX based on the desktop product operation capabilities defined in iDesktopX Skills. It quickly completes the full-process automated workflow from data access, processing, and analysis to output, significantly improving the efficiency of batch processing and repetitive tasks while reducing manual operation costs.
Application Scenarios
- Before using the intelligent capabilities of the AI Assistant for the first time, configure iDesktopX Skills for the Agent.
- After changing computers or reinstalling SuperMap iDesktopX, re-specify the local Skills directory and product installation directory.
- After updating the iDesktopX Skills package, resend the installation command to enable the Agent to use the latest Skill content.
Version Information
Starting from SuperMap iDesktopX 2026, it supports configuring and using iDesktopX Skills.
Configuration Steps
- Download iDesktopX Skills: Two skills are provided. Click the URL as needed to open the following address in a browser:

- Copy the Installation Command Template
Copy the following installation command:
Install the iDesktopX Skills located in the [iDesktopX Skills Directory], then first launch the iDesktopX desktop application under the [SuperMap iDesktopX Installation Directory], and then launch the iDesktopX CLI from that same directory.
- Send to Agent for Installation
Replace the [iDesktopX Skills Unzip Directory] and [SuperMap iDesktopX Installation Directory] in the command template with the actual paths on the local machine, then send to an Agent that supports Skill installation. This completes the iDesktopX Skills installation and starts iDesktopX CLI.
Example: For instance, if the directory where iDesktopX Skills is located is F:\05_work\Skills, and the SuperMap iDesktopX installation directory is G:\work\supermap-idesktopx-2026-windows-x64-bin, then the installation command is:
Install the iDesktopX-Skills located in the F:\05_work\Skills directory, then first launch the iDesktopX desktop application under G:\work\supermap-idesktopx-2026-windows-x64-bin, and then launch the iDesktopX CLI from the same path.
