Change Dataset
Instructions for Use
Supports reassigning associated data sources or datasets for the current layer or map, and batch assignment is supported. Batch assignment is commonly used when importing the same map template into different workspaces, allowing reassignment of datasets from multiple different data sources.
Function Entry
- Workspace Manager -> Existing Map Context Menu -> Change Dataset.
- Layer Manager -> Select one or more datasets Context Menu -> Change Dataset.
- Map Context Menu -> Change Dataset.
Operation Steps
- In the Layer Manager, right-click on the layer that needs to change dataset (you can select multiple layers using Shift or Ctrl) and click the Change Dataset option in the context menu;
- In the Change Dataset dialog, you can choose to individually set the reassociated dataset for a single layer or select multiple layers for uniform settings.
- When individually reassigning associated data for a specific layer in the map, click the drop-down button to the right of Datasource in the corresponding layer row, select the data source containing the dataset to be assigned. If the data source contains a dataset with the same name as the layer's dataset, it will be automatically related; otherwise, you need to manually select the dataset.
- When uniformly reassigning data sources for multiple layers, select multiple layers, click the Uniform Settings button, and complete the uniform data source settings operation in the pop-up Uniform Settings dialog.
- Click the OK button to complete the reassignment of associated data.

When multiple layers need to be assigned to datasets in the same data source, only one layer's dataset needs to be specified; the program will automatically match the datasets associated with other layers.
When the absolute location of the workspace and data source changes, only one dataset needs to be specified; other datasets and data sources will be automatically matched;
