Instructions for Use

The Data Import function provides import for over 80 common data formats including ArcGIS format, CAD format, MapGIS format, MapInfo format, FileGDB format, Google format, Telecom format, etc. It efficiently imports data in various formats into specified data sources, achieving unified data management and integration, helping you conveniently perform cross-platform data management and operations.

Function Entry

  • Start tab -> Data Processing group -> Data Import button.
  • In Workspace Manager -> Datasource context menu -> Import Dataset....

Operation Steps

  1. Click the Start tab -> Data Processing group -> Data Import button to pop up the Data Import dialog box.
  2. Click the Add button (or double-click the left list box) to specify the files to import in the pop-up Select File dialog box.
  3. To add folder-type data, click the Add Folder drop-down button, and select the folder type to add from the drop-down menu. Includes: File GeoDatabase Vector (*.gdb) folder, SimpleJSON Folder, Telecom Vector Line folder, Telecom Building Vector Region folder, Telecom Vector Text folder, and ArcInfoBinGrid Folder.
  4. The specified files will be displayed in the list box of the Data Import dialog box. You can add or remove specified data through the toolbar. The list description is as follows:
    • Source Data: Displays the name of the files to import.
    • File Type: Displays the data type of the files to import.
    • Status: Before data is imported, the State item displays as Unconverted; if data is successfully imported, it displays as Succeed; if data is not successfully imported, it displays as Failed.
  5. Select one or more files in the list box, and set parameters in the parameters area on the right. The parameters displayed in the parameters area differ for different data types. For descriptions of common parameters, please refer to Common Parameters.
  6. Check the Auto Close When Finished checkbox at the bottom of the dialog box to control whether to auto close the dialog box when data import ends.
  7. Click the Import button, and the system will batch import all data in the list box. During data import, the Import Progress dialog box will be displayed. If you click the Cancel button in the dialog box, the current import operation will be terminated, and the map will prompt Failed Import.
Notes:
  • Currently, only SKP data below SketchUp 2021 version is supported for import.
  • If the user selects multiple raster files or vector files simultaneously in the list box, the parameters area will display settings based on the last selected data format.
  • If the user selects both raster files and vector files simultaneously in the list box, the parameters area will only display common parameters.
  • After data import, the coordinate system of the dataset defaults to the coordinate system of the data source it resides in.
