Edit Depth Values
Feature Description
Although sounding points in a sounding group share the same attributes, each point's depth value can vary. Therefore, depth values cannot be modified through uniform settings in group properties. You can modify them via the sounding point's property panel or individually edit each point's depth value in the sounding group management panel.
Manual editing of depth values is typically required in the following scenarios:
- Updating depth data: During chart creation or updates, adjustments may be needed when new sounding data or environmental changes are received.
- Ensuring navigation safety: Accurate depth values are critical in key navigation channels, port areas, or waters with potential obstacles, requiring manual adjustments.
- Special marking requirements: Precise modifications may be needed for specific areas (e.g., marking shoals or reefs) to enhance chart navigation functionality.
