Block Network Adjustment

Feature Description

Block network adjustment is a high-precision geometric correction method. It calculates the orientation parameters of satellite images based on tie points measured within a stereo or planar block network and ground control points through adjustment. This method can effectively eliminate systematic errors and random errors, making it suitable for scenarios involving large-area image coverage or multi-image mosaic processing.

SuperMap iDesktopX version 11i(2023) and later supports this feature.

Parameter Description

Parameter Name Parameter Interpretation Parameter Type
Dataset

Displays the dataset containing the images used for adjustment processing. This field is read-only.

DatasetMosaic
Input Image Type Selects the image type for adjustment processing. The default is Panchromatic Image. It can also be switched to Multispectral Image, Forward-looking Image, Rear-view Image, or Front View and Rear View Image based on the specific situation. ComboBoxImageType
Refer To The Adjustment File

Based on existing adjustment file information, makes the edge matching accuracy and plane accuracy of this adjustment result closer to the accuracy of the existing results.

Use the Add and Delete buttons in the toolbar to conveniently manage multiple reference adjustment files.

The refer to the adjustment file is generated by the previous block network adjustment.

If executing a production workflow, uses the Refer to the adjustment file parameter from Generate Connection Points, and this field is read-only.

Adjustment Mode

Selects the specific adjustment solution method. The default is Constraining Tie Point Elevation.

  • Not Constraining Tie Point Elevation: Does not update elevation, directly uses the initial elevation values of the tie points.
  • Constraining Tie Point Elevation: Updates the elevation values of tie points based on the adjustment result, iterating cyclically.

Result RPC Path

Displays the storage path for the Result RPC. This field is read-only.

For workflows related to DOM production, the default value is Set the Image Path中的Processing path/Adjustment/BlockAdjustment.

For workflows related to DSM production, the default value is Set Image Path (dsm/dem)中的Processing path/Adjustment/BlockAdjustment.

File
Default Adjustment File Path

The adjustment file is used to store information about the images and RPC file paths participating in this adjustment. The storage format is *.csv.

  • Checked: For workflows related to DOM production, the default value is Processing path/Adjustment/BlockAdjustment/AdjustmentFile.csv from Set the Image Path. For workflows related to DSM production, the default value is Processing path/Adjustment/BlockAdjustment/AdjustmentFile.csv from Set Image Path (dsm/dem).
  • Unchecked: The adjustment file path information can be customized.
Boolean
Adjustment File Path

Available after unchecking Default adjustment file path.

Specifies the path for storing the resulting adjustment file.

Correct The Model

Provides Linear RPC Corrected Model, Quadratic Polynomial RPC Corrected Model, and Cubic Polynomial RPC Corrected Model. The default selection is Linear RPC Corrected Model.

  • Linear RPC Corrected Model: Suitable for situations where internal image distortion is minor. This model requires at least 4 ground control points. Please add control point information via the Manage Ground Control Points function.
  • Quadratic Polynomial RPC Corrected Model: Suitable for situations with moderate internal image distortion. This model requires at least 9 ground control points. Please add control point information via the Manage Ground Control Points function.
  • Cubic Polynomial RPC Corrected Model: Suitable for situations with significant internal image distortion. This model requires at least 16 ground control points. Please add control point information via the Manage Ground Control Points function.

Output Result

Outputs the Result RPC file (*.rpb), and the adjustment file (*.csv) storing RPC and image information.
