Block Adjustment

Feature Description

Block adjustment is a high-precision geometric correction method. Based on tie points measured in a stereo or planar block network and ground control points, it calculates the orientation parameters of satellite images through adjustment computation. This method can effectively eliminate systematic and random errors, and is suitable for scenarios involving large-area image coverage or multi-image mosaic processing.

Parameter Description

Parameter Name Parameter Interpretation Parameter Type
Dataset

Displays the dataset containing images used for block adjustment. Cannot be edited.

DatasetMosaic
Input Image Type Selects the image type for block adjustment. The default is Panchromatic Image. It can also be switched to Multispectral Image, Forward-looking Image, Rear-view Image, or Front View and Rear View Image based on specific conditions. ComboBoxImageType
Refer to the Adjustment File

Based on the existing adjustment file information, makes the edge matching accuracy and plane accuracy of the current adjustment result closer to those of the existing result.

Use the Add and Delete buttons in the toolbar to conveniently manage multiple reference adjustment files.

The reference adjustment file is generated by the previous block adjustment.

If executing a production workflow, use the Refer to the adjustment file parameter in Generate Tie Points, and it cannot be edited.

Adjustment Mode

Selects the specific adjustment computation method. The default is Constrain Tie Point Elevation.

  • Do Not Constrain Tie Point Elevation: Does not update elevations; directly uses the initial elevation values of tie points.
  • Constrain Tie Point Elevation: Updates the elevation values of tie points based on the adjustment result, iterating cyclically.

Result RPC Path

Displays the storage path of the result RPC. Cannot be edited.

If it is a DOM production-related workflow, the default value is Set Image Path Processing Path/Adjustment/BlockAdjustment.

If it is a DSM production-related workflow, the default value is Set Image Path (DSM/DEM) Processing Path/Adjustment/BlockAdjustment.

File
Default Adjustment File Path

The adjustment file stores information about images participating in the current adjustment and RPC file paths. The storage format is *.csv.

  • Checked: If it is a DOM production-related workflow, the default value is Set Image Path Processing Path/Adjustment/BlockAdjustment/AdjustmentFile.csv. If it is a DSM production-related workflow, the default value is Set Image Path (DSM/DEM) Processing Path/Adjustment/BlockAdjustment/AdjustmentFile.csv.
  • Unchecked: You can customize the adjustment file path information.
Boolean
Adjustment File Path

Available after unchecking Default Adjustment File Path.

Specifies the path for storing the resulting adjustment file.

Correct the Model

Provides Linear RPC Correct the Model, Quadratic Polynomial RPC Correct the Model, and Cubic Polynomial RPC Correct the Model. The default is Linear RPC Correct the Model.

  • Linear RPC Correct the Model: Suitable for cases with small internal image distortion. This model requires at least 4 ground control points. Please add control point information using the Manage Ground Control Points function.
  • Quadratic Polynomial RPC Correct the Model: Suitable for cases with moderate internal image distortion. This model requires at least 9 ground control points. Please add control point information using the Manage Ground Control Points function.
  • Cubic Polynomial RPC Correct the Model: Suitable for cases with large internal image distortion. This model requires at least 16 ground control points. Please add control point information using the Manage Ground Control Points function.
