Urban Road Modeling (Tiles)
Usage Instructions
The Urban Road Modeling (Tiles) tool can generate city road models in S3M tile format based on the original road line data and a road style file.
The spatial reference of the result data depends on the source data: if the source data is in a projected coordinate system, the result data will be in plane coordinates without a spatial reference; if the source data is in a geographic coordinate system, the result data will uniformly adopt the WGS 84 coordinate system (EPSG:4326).
This tool has been available since SuperMap iDesktopX 2026.
Parameter Descriptions
| Parameter Name | Parameter Description | Parameter Type |
|---|---|---|
| Dataset: | Select the source dataset representing the road line, preferably a network dataset. Note: the source dataset must contain a road style field; to ensure successful data reading, it is recommended that the data source containing the source dataset be writable. | DatasetVector |
| Road Style File | Select the XML file that defines the road style. This file defines the road elements contained in the road, such as lanes and shoulders, and their attributes. This file can be generated by the City Road Design function. | String |
| Road Style Field | Select the field representing the road style in the source dataset. | String |
| Road Name Field (Optional) |
Select the field representing the road name in the source dataset. | String |
| Tile Path | Specify the storage path for the resulting tile data. | String |
