Set the map projection
The earth sphere is an ellipsoid, while the map is a flat entity. Map projection is to transform a three-dimensional entity into a two-dimensional plane. Map projection defines some methods and rules for transformation. SuperMap supports setting and managing the coordinate Projection of each map in Current Workspace
Function Entry
Open a map in the Current Works pace, click the Map tab-> Properties-> Map Properties button to pop up the Map Properties Parameter panel, and click the Coordinate System node. In the Coordinate System Parameter panel, you can view and manage Map Coordinate System information.
Map Coordinate System can be set by working in the toolbar as follows:
- Reset Coordinate System: Click Reset Coordinate System. Button and select More in the drop-down menu to set the target projection in the Coordinate System Settings "dialog box. Please refer to Projection Settings for the specific operation of Coordinate System Settings.
- Copy Coordinate System: Click the "Copy Coordinate System" button to pop up the "Copy Coordinate System" dialog box, and you can choose to copy from Datasource or copy from Dataset:
- From Datasource: Select the From Datasource radio box, click the combo box Drop-down Button, and select a Datasource. Set the Coordinate System Settings of the Data source as Target Coordinate System.
- From Dataset Dataset: Select the From Dataset radio box, click the combo box Drop-down Button, and select a Dataset. Set the Dataset's Coordinate System Settings to Target Coordinate System.
- Import Coordinate System: Click the "Import Coordinate System.." "Button. In the pop-up" Selection "window, select the Projection Info File and import it. Support importing Shapefile Projection Info File (*.shp; *.prj), MapInfo Exchange Format (*.mif), MapInfo TAB File (*.tab), image format Projection Info File (*.tif; *.img; *.sit)、Projection Info File(*.xml)。
- Export Coordinate System: Click the Export Coordinate System.. "Button to export the Current Map coordinate information as Projection Info File (*.xml).
- Transformation Parameters: Click the "Transformation Parameters" button, and in the pop-up "Parameter Settings" window, Set Transformation Parameters to perform Projection Transformation for Current Map projection. Details can be found in the Projection Transformation parameter description.
- Dynamic Projection: Select the "Dynamic Projection" "check box to Current MapEnable Dynamic Projection .
