You can make Style Settings for the point layer by using Style Settings tab and Layer Style panel .
Style Settings tab
The Point Style group on the Style Settings tab is used to set the style of point objects in a point layer, and the functions in this group are available only when the current layer is a point layer.
The Dot Symbol Drop-down Button of the Dot Style group is used to set the style of the dot symbol.
The color button in the Point Style group is used to set the color of the point symbol in the point layer.
- Dot symbol
- Click the Dot Symbol Drop-down Button to pop up the dot symbol resource list. The upper part of the list displays the user Recent Symbols, and the lower part of the list provides the default root group symbol library of the system. You can select the symbol in the Symbol list as the symbol style of the point object in the current point layer as required.
- You can also click the More Symbols.. button at the bottom of the point symbol resource list to set the symbol style of the point object in the Marker Symbol Selector window that pops up.
- When the user selects a point symbol style, all point objects in the current point layer will be displayed in real time according to the selected point symbol style.
- Color
- Click the Drop-down Button on the right side of the color button, and the user can select Default Color or customize Other Color in the pop-up color panel. When the Point Symbol Color is determined, the Color Settings are applied to the point symbol in the current point layer. Recent Colors is listed
- in the color panel.
- In addition, some symbols provided in the Marker Symbol Library resource are special symbols in the professional field (mainly Raster Symbol), the color is fixed, and the operation of modifying such Point Symbol Color is invalid.
- Marker Size
Size is used to set the size of the point symbol in the point layer.
- The
- user can set the size of the point symbol by the option given in the drop-down list of the combo box; the setting of the point Marker Size can also be applied after entering the value in the combo box and hitting the Enter key or when the text box loses focus. The precision of the
- point Marker Size value is 0.1 in millimeters.
Layer Style panel
- Two ways to open the Layer Style panel:
- Double-click the point layer in Layer Manager.
- Right-click the point layer in the stand-alone Layer Manager and select the Layer Style button.
In the Layer Style panel, you can set styles such as Marker Style, Color, Marker Size, Rotation angle, and symbol transparency. This panel is organized in the same way as Marker Symbol Selector. For details about Style Settings, refer to Point Symbol Style Settings.
Hint: - The current setting is in effect in real time for all point objects in the entire point layer.
