Set style of line layer

You can make Style Settings for a line layer through Style Settings tab and Layer Style panel .

Style Settings tab

On the Style Settings tab, the Line Style group is used to set the style of line objects in a line layer and the Border style of face objects in a face layer. The functions in this group are available only when the current layer is a line or face layer.

  • Line symbol The Line Symbol Drop-down Button of the

    Line Style group is used to set the style of a line object in a line layer or a face border in a face layer.

    • Click the Line Symbol Drop-down Button to pop up the line symbol resource list. The upper part of the list displays the user's Recent Symbols, and the lower part of the list provides the system's default root group symbol library. The user can select the symbol in the Symbol list as the symbol style of the line object in the current line layer or the style of the face border in the current front layer as required.
    • You can also click the More Symbols.. button at the bottom of the line symbol resource list to set the symbol style of the line object or face border in the pop-up Line Selector window.
    • When you select a line symbol style, all line objects in the current line layer or face borders in the face layer are displayed in real time according to the selected line symbol style.
  • Line width The combo box to the right of the

    Line Weight label is used to set the line width of the line object.

      The width of the line symbol can be set by the
    • user through the options given in the drop-down list of the combo box, or the setting of the width of the line symbol can be applied after entering the value in the combo box and clicking the Enter key or when the text box loses focus.
      • The
    • line symbol width value has a precision of 0.1 in millimeters.
    • In addition, some symbols provided in the Line Symbol Library resource are special symbols in the professional field, and the line width is fixed, so it is invalid to modify the width of such line numbers.
  • Color The Color button in the

    Line Style group is used to set the color of the center line symbol in the line layer.

    • Click the Drop-down Button on the right side of the color button, and the user can select Default Color or customize Other Color in the pop-up color panel. Once the Line Color is determined, the Color Settings are applied to the line symbol in the current line layer.
      • Recent Colors is listed in the color panel after
    • the user makes Color Settings using Color Library.
    • In addition, some of the symbols provided in the line symbol library resource are special symbols in the professional field (mainly Raster Symbol), and the color is fixed, so it is invalid to modify the operation of such line Color.

Style panel

  • Two ways to open the Layer Style panel:
    • Double-click the point layer in Layer Manager.
    • Right-click the point layer in the stand-alone Layer Manager and select the Layer Style button.

Line symbol style, line width, and line color style can be set in the Layer Style panel. This panel is organized in the same way as Line Selector. For details of Style Settings, please refer to Line Symbol Style Settings.

Hint:
  • The current setting is in effect in real time for all line objects in the entire line layer.
