For vector tiles service V2, SuperMap iServer provides the capability to publish based on PostGIS services. This section will introduce the specific publishing process and notes.

Operation Steps

Entry Points:

  • service management Home -> publish service button
  • service management Home -> Services -> service management tab -> quickly publish service button

Instructions:

  • select datasource, select PostGIS service, and click Next.
  • configuration the data, set the address of the PostGIS service. Enter the server address, such as "192.168.112.251", server port, database name, schema name, username and password, etc. in sequence. After confirming the correctness of all PostGIS services address and ports entered, click Next.
  • select service type, select "rest vector tile serviceV2 (Pre-Beta)", and click Next.
  • configuartion service.
    • Dataset settings: Select the datasets corresponding to the layers required in the service. Supports setting filter options for the selected datasets while selecting them (supports multiple conditions, combined via OR, AND, etc., for example: dlbm='011' or dlbm='013'); supports setting attribute fields. The selected fields will be included in the attribute information of the tiles and support queries. Click Next;
    • Style settings: Supports setting style templates and style files.
      • Style template: You can select one or more from the style template list provided by Style Management to apply.
      • Layer mapping: After selecting a style template, you need to perform layer mapping for each selected template separately, that is, map the layers in the template to the datasets used by the current service to ensure correct layer rendering. The datasets available for mapping are determined by the dataset settings in the previous step, and you can select from them. In addition, if the style template draws a thematic map, that is, the style involves the use of specified fields, you also need to map the fields used in the style to ensure correct thematic map rendering. iServer will list the fields used by each layer in the style template and provide the fields from the mapped datasets as options for field mapping, and you can select from them.
      • style file: An independent style file added to the service. Supports JSON format styles exported by the "Map Output as WebMap" tool in iDesktopX 2026 and above, as well as Mapbox standard styles. The datasets and fields used in the style need to be consistent with the datasets and attribute fields selected in the dataset settings step. In addition, you can set a custom name for the style during the adding process. If not set, the file name of the style file will be used by default.
    • Set the service name and service alias. The service name will be used as the serverName field in the request addresses of interfaces such as getMap, pickup, serverInfo, etc. If not set, the default service name provided by iServer will be used.
  • Click Publish to complete the publishing of rest vector tile serviceV2. After publishing is complete, please go to the service details to configure the relevant styles, data, and cache.

Notes

  • The current version of vector tiles service V2 supports tiling and rendering of point, line, polygon, and annotation data, but only supports data in EPSG:3857, EPSG:4326, and EPSG:4490 coordinate systems.
  • The PostGIS database used must be version 3.0.0 or above. You can check the version via the select PostGIS_VERSION(); command.
  • The primary key in the database table must be of integer or numeric type, and cannot be of character type.
  • The service does not currently support multiworkers-related capabilities.
