BuilderX supports creating Scrolling Pages and Full‑Screen Applications in applications:

  • Scrolling Page: A page whose length exceeds the visible screen area and can extend infinitely downward vertically, supporting scrolling to view content. Content in a scrolling page is organized vertically in rows, with each row being an independent block. The interior of a block is divided into 12 columns.  You can add multiple components to a block, and the column width occupied by each component can be configured. Components within a block can easily achieve horizontal alignment and equal‑spacing distribution without manual dragging or fine‑tuning.
  • Full‑Screen Application: Has a fixed width and height that correspond to the visible screen area and does not support scrolling to view content. Content in a full‑screen application can be placed freely; components can be positioned anywhere on the page and are allowed to overlap.

You can create a new application based on a Layout or a Template. On the welcome page of BuilderX in SuperMap iPortal Application Center, click 'New' in the upper‑right corner:

  • Create from Layout: A layout presets the arrangement and combination of content on the page, featuring a clear information hierarchy and a reasonable visual flow. You can directly add components to the layout, reducing time spent on layout adjustments. Under the 'Layout' tab, select a layout and click 'Create' to build an application based on a specific layout.
  • Create from Template: A template presets a complete set of page layouts, specific components, and an overall style theme. You only need to replace maps, scenes, and data to quickly complete the application. Under the 'Template' tab, select a template and click 'Create' to build an application based on a template page.

To help you choose a layout or template, you can filter by tags to narrow down the types of layouts and templates. You can also select a layout or template and click 'Preview' to see its effect.

After creating the application, you can edit it by adding visualization components to the page.

Note: There is no default limit on the number of applications you can create. However, if the administrator has set a quota for the number of applications, you will be unable to create new ones once the quota is reached. In such cases, you can contact the administrator to request an increase in the quota or delete some existing applications to free up quota space.
