Material editor

Click materials in the right navigation bar and the material editor panel will be displayed at the bottom of the screen, The panel manages materials according to different catalogs, divided into four directories: Public Materials, My Materials, Shared Materials and Group Materials.

Public material

You can create, edit and use materials in public materials. Materials created here can be used by other users of iPortal platform, and you can also use public materials created by other users. In addition, you can view and download them in "Resource Center" > "Data" > "Public Data" of iPortal.

My material

New material

• Click new material, input the material name and material description, click confirm. After successfully creating a new material, click the base color icon and the color card to set the color and texture of the material, and you can see the thumbnail of the finished material on the right side of the editor.

Rename

• You can change the name of the material by clicking the material action and checking rename in the action list.

Delete

• You can delete the current material by clicking the material action and checking delete in the action list.

Material used

• Select the target model, click model operation, select material edit, the material editing panel will pop up on the right side of the interface, drag and drop the target material in the material editor to the corresponding position in the material editing panel, and you will be able to preview the effect of the model after applying the material in the model display window.

Shared material

You can view and use the materials shared by iPortal users in this directory. If other users share their 3D designs and materials with you in iPortal resource center, you can use the materials in your project directly after you open the project. In addition, you can also view and download the materials in iPortal's "Resource Center" > "Data" > "Shared Data".

Material of group

You can view and use the materials shared by your group in this directory. If the group members share their 3D designs and materials with the group in iPortal resource center, you can use the materials in the project directly after you open the project, and you can also view and download the materials in iPortal's Resource Center>Data>Group Data.
