SuperMap iPortal provides the following Scene management functions:
- Review scenes: Review scene added and edited by common users. (Scene Review is disabled by default. You can enable this function in the iportal.xml configuration file. For details, see: iPortal configuration file description)
- Manage scenes: Manage all the scene applications created in iPortal (view, edit, retrieve, delete, modify the sharing scope, set as featured).
Review scenes
The scenes added and edited by ordinary users of iPortal application need to be reviewed and approved by the administrator before they can be retrieved and used in iPortal.
Enable/Disable scene Review
The scene audit function is not enabled by default. iPortal administrator, after logging in, click Manage > Resource Management > Scene > Scene Audit to enter the "Scene Audit" page, click "Enable" button to enable the scene audit function.
Meanwhile, Portal administrators can enable or disable this function by modifying iportal.xml in [SuperMap iPortal installation directory]\webapps\iportal\WEB-INF folder. For details,see: iPortal configuration file description.
Configure scene attribute fields
Configure scene attribute fields, i.e., configure which scene attribute fields need to be re-audited by the administrator after being modified. If an ordinary user modifies the approved scene, even if he/she modifies any of the attribute fields, by default, the administrator needs to re-examine the scene. Of course, the administrator can configure in the iportal.xml configuration file which scene attribute fields need to be re-audited after being modified. Scene attribute fields include: name (fileName), description (description), thumbnail (thumbnail), tags (tags), For specific configuration, see: iPortal configuration file description.
Review scene
After logging into the iPortal as an administrator, you can view the scene to be reviewed in Pending Items on Management>Home page, or you can view them by entering Management>Resources Management>Scene Review page. Then you can perform the following operations:
- Pass: Check the scene that meets the requirements, click the "Audit Passed" button to complete the audit of the scene, support batch audit, the audited scene will be displayed in the scene creator's "My Scene" list, and the status shows The approved scene will be displayed in the "My Scene" list of the scene creator, and the status will be "Approved".
- Reject: If the added scene does not meet the requirements, click the "Dismiss" button, fill in the dismissal opinion and submit it for dismissal, support batch dismissal. The rejected scene will be displayed in the "My Scene" list of the scene creator as "Passed".
- Delete: You can also delete the scene to be reviewed, support batch delete, after the scene is deleted, the scene will be deleted from the scene creator's "My Scene" list.
You can also click the name of the scene to view the details of the scene, and you can directly "pass", "reject" or "delete" the scene at the bottom of the page.
The system will send a message to the scene creator when the scene is approved or rejected, and the scene creator can view the message in "My Messages".
Manage scenes
On the scene management page, you can perform the following management operations for all the scene applications created in the portal.
View/Edit basic scene Infos
Click one specified scene, detailed info page will appear, click the "Edit Attributes" button at the right bottom page, you can replace the thumbnail and edit the scene name, tags and description.
Rename Scenes
You can rename a scenes name. Move the mouse to the target scenes name, click the button that appears, the scenes name will be in the editing state. After editing, click any blank position to exit the editing operation.
Delete Scenes
Check one or multiple scenes and click the "Delete" button to remove the scenes you don't need anymore.
Search Scenes
Search the scenes you want to find by inputting the scenes name or the scenes owner in the input box on the right bottom page.
Modify the sharing scope of scenes
On the Scenes management page, check one or more scenes, and click the "Share" button to modify the sharing permissions of scenes in batches. The supported sharing scopes include:
- Private: Only the author and portal administrator can retrieve, or view scene information.
- Public: Allows all users (including anonymous users) to search or browse scenes.
- Designated Department: Allow members of the designated department to search, or view. You can specify that members under one or more departments can search, or view. By default, sharing with department function is disabled; to enable sharing with department, the administrator needs to configure it in the iportal.xml configuration file.
- Designated groups: Allow members of the designated groups to search, and view. You can specify that members under one or more groups can search, and view.
- Designated User: Allow designated users to search, or view. You can add one or more users to the "Selected Users" list. Users in the "Selected Users" list have retrieval permissions by default, and you can manually check the viewing permissions.
If you have selected multiple scenes with the same authorized sharing scope, when you click "Share", you can view their current sharing scopes; if the sharing scopes are different, you cannot view them, but you can still authorize the selected scenes in bulk. After authorization, these scenes have the same sharing scope.
Set as featured scenes
On the Scenes management page, click the button in the "Set as Featured" column to mark the corresponding scene as a Featured scene. When displaying featured scenes in the Resource Center, it will carry the corresponding featured logos, so that portal members can quickly access the featured resources. Note: Scene resources with private permissions can't be set as featured resources.
