SuperMap iPortal provides Basic、standard and advanced editions oriented to different application types, and they need different types of license.

All these two editions offer the same functionality but differ in maximum users (exclude the users with PORTAL_VIEWER role) and user expansion pack (purchase when the built-in maximum users are not enough for use).

SuperMap iPortal 8C and earlier versions contain the SuperMap iServer application. So running SuperMap iPortal needs both the license of iPortal and the license of iServer. While SuperMap iPortal 8C SP1 and higher versions only require the license of iPortal since stand-alone deployment of  iPortal is supported.

Note 1: SuperMap iPortal Basic, Standard edition products do not include the extension module, and Advanced edition products only include the DataInsights WebApp extension module, You need to purchase them according to your needs.

Note 2: The number of users with  PORTAL_VIEWER role in all iPortal editions are unlimited. The users with this role can log in to iPortal, view the shared resources, but can't create or manage any resources.

1. Basic Edition--Choice of small portal builders

SuperMap iPortal basic edition offers full functions of iPortal with a limit of 20 users (exclude users with PORTAL_VIEWER role, the licenses of SuperMap AI Assistant WebApp, DataInsights WebApp and iDesigner3D WebApp). The built-in application only includes DataViz WebApp, MapDashboard WebApp and iEarth WebApp. This edition only offers an  iPortal license . A 5-user expansion pack is available to expand the max user and can be purchased multiple times.

For example: Two 5-user expansion packs needs to be purchased if your organization has 30 members.

2. Standard edition -- Choice of small and medium-sized portal site builders

SuperMap iPortal standard edition offers full functions of iPortal with a limit of 50 users (exclude users with PORTAL_VIEWER role, the licenses of DataInsights WebApp and iDesigner3D WebApp). This edition only offers an  iPortal license . A 10, 20-user expansion pack is available to expand the max user and can be purchased multiple times.

For example: Two 10-user expansion packs needs to be purchased if your organization has 70 members.

3. Advanced edition -- Choice of large-scale portal site builders

SuperMap iPortal advanced edition offers full functions of iPortal with a limit of 200 users (exclude users with PORTAL_VIEWER role, the licenses of iDesigner3D WebApp). This edition contains an iPortal license and a license of DataInsights WebApp . A 10, 20, 50, 100-user expansion pack is available to expand the max user and can be purchased multiple times.

For example: One 100-user expansion pack needs to be purchased if your organization has 300 members.

DataInsights WebApp

Offers the ability of data uploading, online data access, dynamic visualization, interactive charts and spatial analysis to dig up the potential value of the spatial data to help with the geographic business decision making.

• Supports to upload Excel, CSV or GeoJSON files and access the existing data and services in iPortal;
• Rich chart visualization and association. Charts can be created by one click with attribute data, and the modification of data can be viewed on the chart in real-time.
• Simple-to-use standard spatial analysis, including: buffer analysis, isoline extracting, isosurface extracting, overlay analysis, Voronoi generating and IDW interpolation analysis, etc.
• Distributed spatial analysis for big data, including: points aggregation analysis, attribute summary, density analysis, trajectory rebuilding, overlay analysis, etc.
• Automatically save the analysis results to "My data" module and can be downloaded and shared to use in other applications.

iDesigner3D WebApp

iDesigner3D is a lightweight 3D WebApp developed based on SuperMap iClient3D for WebGL, with online rapid modeling and multi-person interactive editing capabilities based on real geographic environments, which empowers urban design, digital transportation and other industries.

• Supports loading of online terrain, imagery, S3M tiles, etc;
• Supports for loading vector data from data services and map services, support for viewing data attribute information.
• With WebAssembly technology, it supports rapid batch construction of 3D models of buildings, roads, pipelines, alleys, gutters, etc. based on vector data and modeling rules.
• Supports model material editing, model parameter editing, style setting and other operations, and online real-time update editing and setting results.
• Combine iPortal's user management, data storage and sharing capabilities to save, share, download, view and edit modeling results.
