SuperMap iManager License Introduction

SuperMap iManager supports to import four kinds of licences, they are Hardware License, File License, Web License, and Cloud License. The content below is going to introduce the four kinds of licences:

Hardware License

Hardware License means to get the legal software license through a hardware encryption lock (for short “hardware lock”). Hardware License has two types: Stand-alone Key and Network key, SuperMap iManager only supports Network key.

  • Network key: The Network key is red frosted. It can be installed on any computer within the network, and can provide multiple certificates of authenticity. The computer which installed the network key is called license server. The clients whether it installed license drive or not within this network can use this network key.

Notes:

  1. On Linux OS, you need to install the driver for encrypted key.
  2. If you use the hardware key on the virtual machine, you need to connect the hardware key to the virtual machine through related settings of virtual machine software.

File License

File License means to get the legal software license through online or offline. After activaing, it will take effect. SuperMap iManager File License has trial license.

Web License

Web License is similar as File License, it is an encryption file in computer. Web License is the best choice for a private cloud environment.

Cloud License

Cloud License is different with other three kinds of licences, it is available in any extranet. Cloud License is bind with your SuperMap SSO account, so you can use Cloud License by loging on the SuperMap SSO account in iManager.
