Custom Scale

Custom Scale is used to edit the scale list and set the User Default Scale, so that the Default Scale can be applied to other newly created maps in the same Workspace, avoiding the need to reset the scale information every time you create a Map.

Function entrance

  • Map Status Bar-> Scale Bar Combo Box Drop-down Button-> Customize;
  • Map Properties Panel-> Fixed Scale Right-> Custom;
  • Layer Properties Panel-> Maximum/Minimum Visible Scale Combo Box Drop-down Button-> Customize;

Operating instructions

  1. Enter the Custom Scale List dialog box through any of the above function entries. In the scale list, Default Display is the eight standard scales in China, which is also called System Scale in SuperMap iDesktopX;
  2. You can manage the scale bar records in the scale bar list through the toolbar of the dialog box. The tool description is as follows:
    • Add: a line of scale record will be added according to the change rule of the scale record. If you click Add in the standard scale list, the 1:2500 scale record will be added;
    • Add Current Scale: add the scale record of the current Map to the scale list
    • ;
    • Quick Setting Scale: User Default Scale, System Scale, Global Tile Scale options are available in the drop-down list. After selection, the current scale list will be cleared and the selected scale will be displayed in the list. If System Scale is currently in the list and Global Tile Scale is selected, Display as Global Scale will appear in the list;
      Caution:

      User Default Scale is available only after you click the Settings button on the rightmost side of the toolbar.

    • Select
    • All/Select Inversely: used to select all scale bar records or Select Cancel multiple scale bar records;
    • Delete: used to delete the selected scale record;
    • Import: import the scale bar record in the Map Scale Config File (.xml) into the scale bar list;
    • Export: export the scale list as the base map scale Config File (.xml) to share the set scale;
    • Setting: Set the current scale list to User Default Scale so that you can quickly switch back to the previously set Custom Scale after switching to another scale. If User Default Scale is displayed in the scale list, you can Auto Apply it to the new map created in Current Workspace; in the existing map, you can switch to User Default Scale by pressing the Quick Set Scale button.
    Caution:

    In the scale bar list, you can double-click a cell in the scale bar column to directly edit the scale bar value.

  3. Check Fixed Scales to set the scale record in the scale list as Fixed Scales of Current Map, and Map Information can be displayed only under Fixed Scale;
  4. When you are finished, click OK to complete the Custom Scale operation.
