Instructions for use
The Fill Style group of the Style Settings tab makes Style settings for face objects in 3D layers of the Vector Dataset type in the scene. All Fill Style settings are applied to the selected 3D layer in real time, that is, WYSIWYG.
The following types of face objects are available for Style Settings:
- 3D layer of Face Dataset Type: Objects SettingFill Style of faces in the Face Vector Dataset; In addition, when a face object is stretched vertically into a 3D body object, the fill Style Settings can be applied to the other faces of the resulting 3D body object after it is pulled up.
- 3D layer of the Line Dataset class: When the Line Vector Dataset is pulled up vertically, the fill Style Settings can be applied to the resulting face after the Line Dataset is pulled up vertically.
Note: The All Functions controls in the Fill Style "group are available only if the current layer is a qualified 3D layer of the Vector Dataset type; otherwise, they are unavailable.
Operation steps
Fill Style
The "Fill symbol" function will be used to style the Fill symbol of the Region Dataset in the 3D Scene.
- Click the Drop-down Button of the Fill Symbol item in the Fill Style group on the Style Settings tab to bring up a list of fill symbol resources (as shown in the following figure). The upper part of the list displays the user's Recent Symbols, and the lower part of the list provides the system's default root group symbol library. The user can Select the symbols in the Symbol list as required as the symbol style of the face object in the face layer of the current scene.
- You can also click the More Symbols button at the bottom of the Face Fill resource list to set the symbol style for the face object in the pop-up Fill Symbol Selector "window.
- When the user selects a Fill symbol style, all the face objects in the current scene line layer will be displayed in the 3D sphere in real time according to the selected Fill symbol style.
Fill Color
The button to the right of the Foreground Color tab is used to set the foreground color of the Fill symbol in the Vector Layer, that is, to set the color of the pattern of the Fill symbol itself. Select and set the Fill Color in the color panel that pops up by clicking the color button on the right.
The button to the right of the Background Color tab sets the background color of the Fill symbol in the Vector Layer, that is, sets the Fill symbol Background. Select and set the Fill Color in the color panel that pops up by clicking the color button on the right.
Transparency
The Transparency (%) function sets the transparency of the face fill. You can enter the value in the spin box to the right of the tab to set it; you can also click the up and down buttons after the spin box to adjust the value. The value of transparency is any integer between 0 and 100, with 0 being completely opaque and 100 being completely transparent.
Fill Mode
The Fill Mode "function is used to set the Fill Mode of the face. Click the Drop-down Button to the right of the label to select a face Fill Mode in the pop-up drop-down menu to apply to the current 3D layer. There are three Fill Modes:
- Contour: Displays only the contour lines (boundary lines) of the face, not the fill contents of the face.
- Fill: Displays only the filled contents of the face, not the contour (boundary) lines of the face.
- Filling and Outline: The contour line (boundary line) of the face and the filling content of the face are displayed simultaneously.
Precautions
For Fill Style, the setting of "Background Transparency" is not supported in 3D Scene, that is, the "Background Transparency" control is not available in the "Style Settings" window popped up in 3D Scene.
Setting a Fill symbol to a Region or extruded face in a 3D Scene has no effect in non-ground height mode, and the Fill symbol with number 0 is still used when displayed in the scene.
