Instructions for use
The Static Model feature is used to add a third-party data model to the KML Layer in the scene. Currently, the supported third-party data Model Formats include *.fbx, *.3ds, *.obj, *.dae, *.x, *.osgb, *.stl, *.off, *.gltf, *.glb, *.s3mb, *.osg, *.s3m. And a three-dimensional animation frame model can be imported based on the *.sgm format file.
Function entrance
- Object Drawing Tab-> Model Object Group-> Static Model Button
- Layer Manager -> KML LayerContext Menu -> Add -> Static Model
Operation steps
- If a KML Layer has been added to the current scene, make sure the KML Layer is editable. If there is no Add KML Layer in the current scene, you can right-click Normal Layer under Layer Manager . Select "New KML Layer" "or" Add KML Layer "" in the pop-up menu to create or add KML Layer.
- Opens the Add Static Model dialog box in two ways:

On the Object Drawing tab Model Object group, click the Static Model button and open the 3D Model Data File "dialog.

Right click on KMLLayer and select Static Models.. From the Context Menu that pops up. The Open 3D Model File "dialog box pops up.

In the Open 3D Model Data File "dialog box, select the Model File to which you want to add third-party data, and then click the Open button in the dialog box.

- Move the mouse to the scene, and the mouse status will change. Click the left mouse button anywhere in the scene to Add Model, and the Application will automatically pop up the KML Properties "panel, where you can modify the size, position, and angle of the model. Right-click to exit Add Model Operation.
- The newly loaded data model is added to the 3D layer specified in the Add to Current scene and displayed on the simulated earth in the scene. For the layer with Save Type as KML file, the node of the Add Model will be added to the next level of the 3D layer node of the Save Model specified in Layer Manager. Double-click the left mouse button on the node, and the 3D sphere will roam to the Layer Bounds corresponding to the model to display the specified scale.
- You can also select the added Model Object in Layer Manager, right-click the Properties command, and set the color and transparency of the model in the pop-up KML Properties "Object Style".
The following figure shows an example of an animation frame model.
- Currently, 3D Scene Rendering Engine V2 does not support KML Layer to add models with node animation or skeletal animation.
- Currently, only the operation of highlighting the selected model is supported for the animation model, and the operation of moving and stretching the model is not supported. Data in
- *.sgm format is a new Model Storage Format (SGM: SuperMap Global Model) provided by SuperMap. Model Data in this format can be loaded into a scene for Display and Browse extremely quickly.
