Select a 3D surface layer as the current layer in Layer Manager, and the setting options for special effects will appear in the Layer Properties "interface. First, you need to check the Use Effect check box to activate the special effect setting controls, including the type of 3D line layer, background color, wireframe, offset, Repeat Times and other Property Settings function controls.

Use Effect: Select the "Use Effect" check box to activate the special effect Parameter Settings panel.
Type setting
- Fill Symbol: Click the Drop-down Button in the combo box on the right of Fill Symbol, and select a type from the pop-up display list. Includes Pure Filling, Stripe Filling, Point Fill, Checkerboard Fill, Grid Fill.
- Foreground color: Click the Drop-down Button of the combo box on the right side of the foreground color, and select a certain color in the pop-up color panel, then the pixel of the 3D foreground color will be displayed as the specified color.
- Foreground color transparency: Click the right arrow on the right side of the foreground color transparency to pop up the slider. Slide the slider to adjust the transparency value. You can also directly enter the desired transparency value.
Background color setting
Stripe Filling, Dot Fill, Checkerboard Fill and Grid Fill are selected as the face type, and the controls in the background color setting group are available, including setting the color and transparency of the background color.
- Background color: Click the Drop-down Button of the combo box on the right side of the background color, and select a color in the pop-up color panel, then the pixel of the background color of the 3D face will be displayed as the specified color.
- Background color transparency: Click the right arrow on the right side of the background color transparency to pop up the slider. Slide the slider to adjust the transparency value. You can also directly enter the desired transparency value.
Lineweight settings
Stripe Filling, Dot Fill, Checkerboard Fill, and Grid Fill are selected as the face type, and the controls in the line width setting group are available, including setting the horizontal line width and vertical line width.
- Horizontal line width: Adjust the horizontal line width through the up and down arrows on the right side of the horizontal line width, or directly enter the horizontal line width value.
- Longitudinal line width: Adjust the longitudinal line width through the up and down arrows on the right side of the longitudinal line width, or directly input the longitudinal line width value.
Offset Settings
Stripe Filling, Dot Fill, Checkerboard Fill, and Grid Fill are selected as the face type. The controls in the Offset Settings group are available, including the setting of horizontal line offset and vertical line offset.
- Horizontal Line Offset: Adjust the horizontal line offset through the up and down arrows on the right side of the horizontal line offset, or directly input the horizontal line offset value.
- Vertical Line Offset: Adjust the vertical line offset through the up and down arrows on the right side of the vertical line offset, or directly input the vertical line offset value.
Repeat Times settings
Stripe Filling, Dot Fill, Checkerboard Fill, and Grid Fill are selected as the face type. Controls in the Repeat Times setting group are available, including horizontal repeat, vertical repeat, and rotation.
- Horizontal Repeat: Adjust Horizontal Repeat Times through the up and down arrows on the right side of Horizontal Repeat, or directly enter Horizontal Repeat Times.
- Vertical Repeat: Adjust the vertical Repeat Times through the up and down arrows on the right side of the vertical repeat, or directly enter the vertical Repeat Times.
- Rotation: Adjust the value of rotation angle by rotating the up and down arrows on the right, or directly input the value of rotation angle.
