Add Google Maps
Function Description
SuperMap iDesktopX supports adding the Google Maps service opened in the workspace to the scene as a base map. Google Maps is an electronic map service provided by Google Inc., including vector maps, remote sensing images of different resolutions, and some terrain data. The desktop integrates the GoogleMaps engine, and when the network is connected, the Google Maps service can be accessed directly in the desktop product. Google Maps website: http://maps.google.com. Currently, the following map types are supported:
- roadmap: Standard roadmap, such as the normal map shown on the Google Maps website.
- satellite: Satellite imagery layer.
- terrain: Terrain map, used to display terrain and vegetation.
- hybrid: A mixed layer containing satellite images and roadmaps, a transparent layer that displays major streets and place names on the satellite image.
Function Entry
- Workspace Manager->Google Maps datasource->Image dataset right-click menu->Add to New Scene
Operating Instructions
- Through the Open Web Datasource operation, open the Google Maps service to be loaded into the scene. After opening, a Google Maps datasource with a specified name will be added under the datasource list in the workspace manager.
- Right-click on the specified map under the Google Maps datasource, select "Add to New Scene" from the right-click menu, and choose to add to a new spherical scene or a new planar scene.
- After completion, the corresponding online map will be loaded in the scene.
