Operation Instructions
- Left-click to select a model object in the scene, then right-click and choose the "Export Model" option to open the "Export Model" dialog.
- Set the export format, save file path, and model format:
- Export Format: Used to set the format of the exported data. Select an export format from the dropdown, supporting OSGB, KMZ, KML, S3M, OFF, STL, GLTF, GLTF2, DAE, S3MB, FBX, and OBJ formats.
- KML/KMZ: Uses KML/KMZ format to export the model as a KML/KMZ file along with a model folder. The KML/KMZ file records model parameters. In this mode, the model format can be selected as S3MB, OSGB, GLTF, GLTF2, DAE, or FBX.
- OSGB/S3M/OFF/STL/DAE/S3MB/FBX/OBJ/X/3DS/FBX/GLTF/GLTF2: Exports the model as a file in the corresponding format.
- File Path: Used to set the save path for the exported data. Click the button on the right to set the data save path and file name in the "Open" dialog, then click "OK"; or directly enter the folder path and name in the text box.
- Model Format: The model format option becomes available when the export format is set to KMZ or KML.
- Export Format: Used to set the format of the exported data. Select an export format from the dropdown, supporting OSGB, KMZ, KML, S3M, OFF, STL, GLTF, GLTF2, DAE, S3MB, FBX, and OBJ formats.
- After completing the settings, click the "OK" button to perform the model export operation.
When KML or KMZ is selected, after a successful export, a KML/KMZ file and a model object folder will be generated at the specified path. For example, if "KML" is selected as the export format and "OSGB" as the model format, a "KMLosgbs" folder will be created in the directory where the KML file is stored. This folder contains the model data of the object, i.e., *.osgb files.
Since the KML file records the relative path of the model file, adding this KML file to a 3D scene will display the model object. The image below shows the effect of loading a KML layer in the scene.
Notes:- When selecting model objects in the scene with the left mouse button, you can hold the "Shift" key to select multiple model objects, allowing multiple models to be exported at once.
- The number of model files exported corresponds to the number of model files selected in the scene.
- Currently, only when exporting OSGB, S3MB, or KML/KMZ + OSGB/S3MB data, the multiple textures of the original model data are preserved.
