The Extrude Settings group of the Style Settings tab provides the ability to change the Bottom Altitude, model stretch, and so on for 2D Vertor Data loaded into the scene.
Bottom Altitude
In a 3D layer of the Vector Dataset type in the scene, the All Objects are displayed at their latitude and longitude coordinates.
The combo box to the right of the Bottom Altitude "tab lets you set the elevation value of the object's location from the Earth's surface.
Extended Height
2D Geometry in a 3D layer of the Vector Dataset type can be stretched vertically in the scene.
The combo box to the right of the Extended Height "tab lets you set the height at which the object is stretched, measured from the Bottom Altitude position, in a direction perpendicular to the Earth's surface.
Operation steps
- Enter the appropriate numeric value in the combo box to the right of the Extended Height/Bottom Altitude label. All Objects in the 3D layer of the selected Vector Dataset type are rendered in 3D with the corresponding Extended Height/Bottom Altitude value set.
- In the drop-down list of the combo box, all the numeric type fields in the Dataset Properties table of the selected Vector Dataset type 3D layer are listed. The Extended Height/Bottom Altitude of the object in the 3D layer is set to the value of Specify Field.
Precautions
The other functional controls in the Extrude Settings "group are available only when the current layer is a Vector Dataset type layer and the Height Mode in the Style Settings" Tab Extrude Settings "group is set to non-on-ground mode. The settings are valid.
