Instructions for use
For model datasets and S3M tiles generated from model data, you can adjust the display mode of model objects by combining the Fill Style in Style Settings with the Wireframe Mode in Layer Properties. To display the model in wireframe mode, you must first set the Fill Style in Style Settings to Outline or Fill and Outline. Model tiles can only switch to wireframe mode if "With Wireframe" is checked during tile generation.
Currently, model datasets can be displayed in triangle or quadrilateral mode, while model tiles can be displayed in triangle, quadrilateral, or sketch mode.
- Triangle: Displays the model as a triangular mesh.
- Quadrilateral: Displays the model as quadrilateral patches.
- Sketch: Displays the outline edges of the model.
As shown in the figure below, when the fill style is set to Fill and Outline, the model tiles are displayed in triangle, quadrilateral, and sketch modes from left to right.
Function Entry
- Scene Tab -> Properties Group -> Layer Properties Button -> Layer Properties Panel -> 3D Tiles/Model Module -> Wireframe Mode
- Layer Manager -> Layer Right-Click Menu -> Layer Properties -> Layer Properties Panel -> 3D Tiles/Model Module -> Wireframe Mode
Operation Steps
- Load model dataset or model tile data in a new or opened scene, and select its layer as the current layer.
- In the Fill Style module of the Style Settings tab, set the fill mode to Outline or Fill and Outline.
- Click the Layer Properties button in the Properties group of the Scene tab, or click Layer Manager -> Layer Right-Click Menu -> Layer Properties to open the Layer Properties panel.
- In the 3D Tiles or Model module of the Layer Properties panel, modify the display mode of the model by changing the Wireframe Mode option.
