Flooding effect

Instructions for use

Flooding analysis is an important direction of 3D Analysis. Currently, the Oblique Photography Model S3MTileLayer Properties panel provides Flooding effect parameter settings areas for settings such as water bodies, inundation levels, and inundation rates. O as to simulate the dynamic evolution process of waterlogging along with the change of time in real time, thereby quickly judging the possible damage of waterlogging to traffic, property and people.

Caution:

This feature is only supported by SuperMap iDesktopX 11.2.0 and above.

Function entrance

  • Scene tab-> Property group-> Layer Properties button-> Layer Properties Panel-> Gradient Colors Module-> Flooding effect parameter settings .
  • Layer Manager -> Oblique Photography ModelS3MTile Layer Context Menu-> Layer Properties button-> Layer Properties panel-> Gradient Colors Module-> Flooding effect parameter settings .

Parameter Description

Figure: Flooding effect parameter settings.
  • Color Scheme: Click the color drop-down box on the right and select the color scheme of the water body.
  • Transparency: Click the button on the right to pop up the slider for setting water transparency, and slide the slider to adjust; you can also directly input the number from 0 to 100. The default transparency is 0, which means the water is completely opaque; as the value increases, the water becomes more and more transparent; the maximum value is 100, which means it is completely transparent.
  • Current water level elevation: directly input the number or click the "Increase" and "Decrease" buttons to adjust the current hydrological elevation.
  • Maximum water level: Enter a number to indicate the maximum elevation of water inundation.
  • Min Elevation: This parameter is automatically obtained and cannot be changed. It is the minimum elevation value of the current layer.
  • Max Elevation: This parameter is automatically obtained and cannot be changed. It is the maximum elevation value of the current layer.
  • Total time (s): used to display and set the time required for the water body to be submerged from the minimum elevation to the maximum water level, in seconds. Adjust the total time and the speed number will change.
  • Speed (m/s): used to display and set the speed of the water body from the minimum elevation to the maximum water level, in m/s. Adjust the speed and the total time will change.
  • Playback control: control the status of the water flooding model through the "Start", "Pause" or "Stop Playback" button.
  • Loop Valid: When this check box is selected, the Playback operation will be repeated until the user stops playing when the water body is submerged. If this check box is not selected, the Playback operation will be automatically stopped after the playback is completed.

Operation steps

  1. Open the Oblique Photography ModelS3MTile Layer to be used for flooding simulation in the scene. By clicking on the Scenario tab-> Property Groups-> Layer Properties button, Or click Layer Manager -> Oblique Photography ModelS3MTile Layer Context The Menu-> Layer Properties button opens the Layer Properties panel. Locate the Flooding effect parameter settings in the Gradient Colors module.
  2. Set Parameters as needed to achieve the desired effect.
