Modify Material

Instructions for use

The Modify Material function is used to modify a material that already has Model Data.

Function entrance

  • 3D Data tab-> Model group-> Model toolDrop-down Button->Modify Material
  • Toolbox -> 3D Data -> Model Processing -> Modify Material

Operation steps

  1. Open the data to be modified in Workspace Manager.
  2. Source data:
    • Datasource: Select the Datasource that stores the Model Data to be Modified.
    • Dataset: Select the Model Dataest storing the Modify Material.
  3. Parameter Settings:
    • Material Delete: It is used to set whether to delete duplicate materials in Data. When the names of multiple materials are inconsistent, but their colors and textures are consistent, the first material read is retained, and the remaining materials are removed.
    • Uniform Settings Material: Used to determine whether the Uniform Settings data material. When this parameter is checked, the color and material files of All Objects in the Batch Settings Model Data are available.
    • Color: used for the target color of Set Model, which can be selected by pulling down the color table, or by directly entering the hexadecimal color code at the bottom of the color table.
    • Material file: a material file for setting up Model Data. Select the specified JSON material file in the pop-up Open panel by clicking the Select button to the right of the parameter. JSON material files can be exported by the game engine.
      Hint:
      • When both color and material file parameters are set, only the material file takes effect, and the set color value has no effect.
      • The material name is used as the Unique identifier of the material and cannot be duplicated. When the material name is the same before and after processing, it is necessary to ensure that the texture and color in the material must be consistent.
    • Convert Material Type: used to set the material type of the Whether to Convert data. After this parameter is checked, the material type parameter can be set.
    • Material Type: Lets you set the type of material the data will be converted to, including Common Material and PBR Material.
  4. Result:
    • Datasource: Select any Datasource in the Workspace as the Datasource that stores the Result Dataset.
    • Dataset: Set Any String as the model Dataset Name.
  5. Click the "Run" button to complete Modify Material Color.
