Surface Operation

Instructions for use

The "Surface Operation" function is to perform surface difference operation or surface merging operation on TIN Terrain and Model Data in the scene to obtain new TIN Terrain data.

Currently, only single-model Surface operations are supported.

Use scenarios

This function can be used in areas such as road and tunnel engineering.

Operation steps

  1. Load the Data source. Datasource needs to contain Model Dataest and TIN Terrain data. The demonstration in Add to Scene looks like this:

  2. Open the Surface Operation window. On the 3D Geographic Design tab, under TIN Operation, click the Surface Operation "button to bring up the Surface Operation dialog box.
  3. Select the Datasource and Dataset that participate in the Surface Operation model.
  4. Select the TIN Terrain data participating in the Surface Operation and specify the model SmID participating in the operation in the Model Dataest. Multiple SmIDs are separated by commas. If they are empty, All Objects in the Model Data layer will participate in the operation.
  5. Select the Surface Operation operation. The Surface Operation includes the subtraction and merging, and the single-selection Surface Operation operation.
  6. Click OK to proceed with the Surface Operation. The operation result of Sample Data difference is as follows:

Notice

  1. Models participating in the Surface Operation and TIN Terrain's Units should be consistent. If not, the operation fails and "Please confirm whether the units of the Target Coordinate System are consistent" will be displayed in the Output Window.
