Urban Building Modeling

Usage Instructions

The Urban Building Modeling function can quickly construct LOD2.0-level building detailed model data based on building outline vector surfaces and related parameter information.

Function Access

  • 3D Geographic Design tab->Regularized Modeling group->Procedural Modeling drop-down menu->Urban Building Modeling button

Operation Steps

  1. In the Workspace Manager, open the target data source containing the original dataset, and create a new scene or open an existing one.
  2. Click the Urban Building Modeling button in the Procedural Modeling drop-down menu within the Regularized Modeling group on the 3D Geographic Design tab.
  3. In the popped-up "Urban Building Modeling" dialog box, set parameters such as the surface dataset, building height, bottom elevation, material path, etc. For specific parameters, refer to the Urban Building Modeling tool page.
  4. After setting is completed, click the "Run" button to execute. Upon completion, a result model dataset will be generated in the specified data source.
