Manages barrier points in the network layer. When conducting network analysis, setting a point as a barrier will make any locations via this point or its arc unreachable.

Operations include: add barrier points, remove barrier points, move barrier points.

• Add Barrier Points

  The application provides three methods: add by mouse, build SQL expression, and import. Added barrier points will display in the network analysis instance manager window.

  • Add by mouse: Click on the network layer with the mouse to add barrier points;
  • Build SQL expression: Add nodes meeting specified SQL conditions as barrier points;
  • Import: Use point objects from point datasets as barrier points.
• Remove Barrier Points

  Under the "Barrier Points" node in the instance manager window, select single/multiple barrier points (hold Shift for multi-selection), right-click and choose "Remove" from the context menu. Press Delete to remove single barrier points.

  Right-click the "Barrier Points" node and select "Remove" to delete all barrier points.

Notes

Barrier points can be located on network arcs/nodes or within their tolerance range.
