Analysis Area Settings
Instructions for use
Used to set the analysis area for Network Analysis. The default is Dataset Bounds. Two settings are provided: selecting faces and sketching faces. After the analysis area is set, only the Network Dataset within the analysis area is loaded during Network Analysis to improve the performance of Network Analysis.
Operation steps
- In the Environment Settings window, click the Analysis Area Settings button to bring up the Analysis Area Settings "dialog
- Analysis Area Settings provides three methods: Dataset Bounds, Current Windows, and User Custom. The specific instructions are as follows:
- Dataset Bounds: Click to select the Dataset Bounds "radio box to set Dataset Bounds to Analysis Bounds.
- Current Windows: Click to select the "Current Windows" radio box to set the Map Bounds of Current Windows to Analysis Bounds.
- User Custom: provides Select Object, Draw Bounds and Copy and Paste.
- Select Object: Select one or more objects in the current Map through the mouse box or click mode, and Select ObjectsRange Settings as Export Bounds;
- Draw Bounds: In the current Map, click Draw to determine a rectangular area as Export Bounds;
- Copy and Paste: Click the Copy button to Copy the range of the Current setting. Click the Paste button in the Range Settings that supports pasting to set the left, bottom, right, and top values of the Copy Bounds to the current range.
- Select the User Custom "radio box in the dialog box to set the Analysis Bounds either by selecting faces or by drawing faces.
- Draw Face: Click the Drop-down Button on the right, select the "Draw Face" option, move the mouse to the current Map, and draw a rectangle as the analysis area.
- Select Face: If there is a face layer in the current Map, you can activate the "Select Face" option in the drop-down options. After selecting a face object in the current Map, you can select the BoundsRange Settings of the face object as the analysis area.
- "Range" is used to display and set Analysis Bounds. If "User Custom" Bounds Settings "is selected, the left, upper, right and lower Coordinate Settings Analysis Bounds can be directly input in the value control; If Dataset Bounds "is selected, the coordinate values at the Range are not editable.
- Click the OK button to complete the Analysis Area Settings operation. Click the Cancel button to exit the current operation.
Remark
The "Analysis Area Settings" function is applicable to Transportation Analysis. After the analysis area is set, if the analysis site is not in the analysis area, it may cause Analysis failed. In this case, the analysis area can be reset. Or set the analysis site in the analysis area and then perform the analysis.
