Create Thematic Map

The Thematic Map tab is used to create various types of thematic maps. Themtic Types that can be created include thematic maps such as Single Value, Segments, Labels, Statistics, Graduated Symbols, Point Density, Custom, Grid Single Value, and Grid Segments.

Instructions for use

When Map is opened, the Thematic Map tab is activated. Select a Vector Layer in Layer Manager, and the Themtic Type button that can be made by Vector Dataset is available; When a Raster Layer is selected in the Layer Manager, only the Unique-values Map, Graudated Colors Map buttons supported by the Raster Dataset are available.

Operation steps

There are two ways to create thematic maps

for vector and Raster Data, which are described as follows.

  • Mode 1:
  • Select a vector or Raster Layer in

    Layer Manager, click the Themtic Type to be made in the " Thematic Map" tab, and the thematic map window of this type will pop up, displaying the default setting information of the thematic map. The user can modify the corresponding parameters according to the specific drawing requirements.

  • Mode 2:
    Select a vector or Raster Layer in
  1. Layer Manager, right-click, and select Create Thematic Map.. in the pop-up Context Menu.
  2. Click to select Themtic Type
  3. on the left side of the dialog box, select the corresponding Thematic Map Template on the right side, and click OK to apply the style in the template to create a thematic map.

  5. thematic map is created, the thematic map window of this type will pop up, displaying the setting information of the thematic map, and the user can get the required thematic map through the corresponding settings.

  7. Create from Template will be automatically displayed as a thematic layer in the Add to Current Map Window, and a thematic layer will be added accordingly in the Layer Manager.

Remark

Each type of thematic map has the above two creation methods. In the detailed introduction of each type of thematic map creation in the subsequent documents, only the specific operation method of "Method 2" is introduced, and "Method 1" will not be described in detail.
