Style Tab

Style tab: Lets you set the Uniform Font style used by the label object (Text) in the current Uniform Label thematic map. In particular, Uniform Style supports setting the font type, size, Rotation angle, and Font Color of the label by selecting Property Field, so as to customize the label setting and meet different label display requirements.

  • Font: It is used to set the font used by the label text in the Thematic Label Map. The drop-down list of the combo box on the right side of the label control provides rich fonts for users to select. It supports adding @ before Font in the combo box to achieve vertical Display Effects. The "Recent Font" grouping is also provided to facilitate the selection of Recent Font names. The system supports the quick initial positioning font of the keyboard. For example, if you click the letter "T" on the keyboard, the font beginning with the letter "T" will be displayed in the drop-down list box. Click the combo box drop-down list to the right of the label control to select a font. Default font is Microsoft YaHei.

    When Start Expression is checked, the Font will be set by selecting Property Field, and the font will be displayed according to the set attribute value, so as to realize different custom label effects of Label Font in the same thematic map.   • Alignment: Lets you determine where to place a Text by setting its Relative to its anchor in the Thematic Label Map. The 12 alignments are listed in the combo box drop-down list to the right of the label control. For detailed descriptions of the alignments, refer to the TextAlignment description .

    Note: If " Center" is selected, the text in the thematic map is not displayed in the center of the point because Show/Hide Points with Text is enabled by default in the map display. Cancel the setting of Show/Hide Points with Text in Overlap Settings on the Map Properties panel.

  • Font Size: is used to set the font size of the label text in the Thematic Label Map. Users can either enter the value of Font Size or select the appropriate Font Size from the drop-down list of the combo box to the right of the label control. Font size can also select a field of this layer, using the field value as Font Size, Numerical Precision is 0.5.
  • Font height: is used to set the height of the label text font in the Thematic Label Map. You can enter the number in the text box on the right side of the label control or use the up and down spin buttons in the text box to adjust the number in the text box. Numerical Precision is 0.5.
  • Font Width: Used to set the font width of the label text in the Thematic Label Map. Enter the value in the text box to the right of the label control or use the up or down spin buttons in the text box to adjust the value in the text box. By default, the word width is 0.0, indicating that the current font size and height are used, and the corresponding word width is used. The unit of word width is 0.1mm.
  • Rotate: is used to set the Rotation angle of the label object (Text) in the Thematic Label Map. You can adjust the value in the Text box by entering the value in the Text box to the right of the label control or using the up and down spin buttons in the Text box. You can also select a field on the layer and use the field value as the angle of rotation in degrees, with counterclockwise as the positive direction.   • Oblique angle: Select the "Italic" check box in the "Font Effects" setting area "of the tab to set the Font Settings in the label object (Text) in the Thematic Label Map to italic. The "Tilt Angle:" item is used to control the tilt degree of the font. You can enter a value in the text box on the right side of the label control, or use the up and down fine-tuning buttons in the text box to adjust the value in the text box. The value can be positive or negative, and the unit is degree. When the tilt angle is 0, it is the default font tilt style of the system. If the Italic check box in the tab is not checked, this item is not available.

  • Text Color: Used to set the color of the text in the label object (text) in the Thematic Label Map. Click the button on the right of the label to pop up the Color dialog box, where you can select and set the appropriate color.

    When Start Expression is checked, Text Color will be set by selecting Property Field, and the color will be displayed according to the set attribute value, so as to realize the custom label effect of different label colors in the same thematic map.   • Shadow color: It is used to set the shadow color of the label text in the Thematic Label Map. Click the button on the right of the label to pop up the Color dialog box, where you can select and set the appropriate color. Note that the shadow color is available only if the check box "Shadow" setting is checked in Font Effects.
  • Background: Used to set the outline or background of the text in the label object (Text) in the Thematic Label Map. Click the button on the right of the label to pop up the Color dialog box, where you can select and set the appropriate color. The Background button for a label object is available only if the Outline check box in the Text Effects settings area is checked or if the Background Transparency "check box is unchecked. The outline color of the text will be displayed only when the "Outline" button is checked; otherwise, the text has no outline; When the "Background Transparency" button is not checked, the background of the text will be displayed. Otherwise, the background effect set by the "Background Transparency" of the text will not be visible.
  • Bold: The Bold check box in the Font Effects "setting area controls whether or not the font in the label object (Text) in the Thematic Label Map is bold. When the check box is checked, the font is displayed in bold; if the check box is not checked, the font is not displayed in bold.
  • The Italic check box in the Italic: Font Effects "setting area controls whether the font in the label object (Text) in the Thematic Label Map is italic. When the check box is checked, the font is displayed in italic. If the check box is not checked, the font is not displayed in italic.
  • Strikeout: The Strikeout check box in the Font Effects "settings area controls whether text in the label object (Text) in the Thematic Label Map is strikeout. When the check box is checked, the text has a strikethrough; if the check box is not checked, the text has no strikethrough.
  • Underline: The Underline check box in the Font Effects "settings area controls whether or not an underline is added to the text in the label object (Text) in the Thematic Label Map. When the check box is checked, the text is underlined; when the check box is not checked, the text is not underlined.
  • Shadow: The Shadow check box in the Font Effects "settings area controls whether text in the label object (Text) in the Thematic Label Map is shaded. When the check box is checked, the text is shaded; when the check box is unchecked, the text is not shaded.
  • The Outline check box in the Outline: Font Effects "setting area controls whether text in the label object (Text) in the Thematic Label Map has an outline, that is, the text is finished with a stroke. When this check box is checked, it indicates that the text has an outline, and the outline width can be set, the unit is pixel, and the value range is 1,5; If this check box is not checked, the text has no contour line, and the decoration of the text contour line and the text Background are mutually exclusive. The decoration of the text by the two cannot exist at the same time. The color of the text contour line is the color set by the button after the "Background Color:" label.
  • Fixed Size: The Fixed Size "check box in the Font Effects" setting area controls whether Text in the text layer is Fixed Size. When this check box is checked, it means that the text size (including font size, font height, font width, etc.) will not change with the map zooming. If this check box is not checked, it means that the text size (including font size, font height, font width, etc.) will change with the map zooming.
  • Background Transparency: The check box of the "Font Effects" setting area "Background Transparency" is used to control the Thematic Label. Whether the text in the label object (Text) in Map has Background. When this check box is checked, the text has no background; if this check box is not checked, the text has a background, and the text outline decoration and the text Background are mutually exclusive. The two cannot be used to decorate the text at the same time. The color used by the text background is the color set by the button behind the "Background Color:" label.

Precautions

Point, Line and Region Dataset all support the creation of custom labels, but the custom label of Line Dataset does not support Label Alongline. The font, text size, text Rotation angle and text color of the label can be controlled by Specify Field. Valid only for point Thematic Label Map.
