The Page Setup group of the Layout tab organizes the functions of performing various page setups in Layout, including the Paper Orientation, size, and margin settings of the layout page.
Paper Orientation
Used to set the Paper Orientation of the layout page in the current Layout. The Application provides two different page orientations, portrait and landscape, for the user to select. The system defaults to portrait.
Operating Procedure
- Click Paper Orientation "Drop-Down Button to pop up a pull-down menu, in which the user can select the vertical or horizontal layout Paper Orientation.
- The user can also click the "Page Setup" group dialog box button to set the vertical or horizontal layout Paper Orientation in the pop-up "Page Setup" dialog box.
- After setting a certain Paper Orientation, the user can preview the effect of the layout Paper Orientation setting in real time in the preview area below the Paper tab. After clicking the "Confirm" button, the layout page in the current Layout will display the setting results of Paper Orientation in real time.
Paper Size
Used to set the paper size of the layout page in the current Layout. Application provides a large number of layout page types for users to select directly. Users can easily select the appropriate layout paper size in the "Paper Size" drop-down menu or in the " Page Setup" group dialog box. While supporting User CustomPaper Size.
Operating Procedure
- Click the " Paper Size" Drop-down Button to pop up a drop-down menu, in which several common page names and specific dimensions predefined by the system are listed, and the user can select a layout Paper Size that meets his needs.
- If the common page types listed in the " Paper Size" drop-down menu do not meet the user's needs, the user can also click the " More Paper Sizes.." button at the bottom of the drop-down menu, or click the group dialog button of the " Page Setup" group to bring up the "Page Setup" "dialog box.
- In the "Paper Size" area of the "Page Setup" dialog box, the user can click the Drop-down Button of the combo box on the right side of the "Type" tab, and select the name of a paper type that meets the requirements in the pop-up drop-down menu. Alternatively, you can customize the desired Paper Size by selecting the "User Defined" type from the drop-down menu. The spin boxes to the right of the Width and Height items display the values for the width and height of the corresponding paper type. The unit is centimeter and cannot be modified by default.
- After setting the Paper Size, the user can preview the effect of the Paper Size setting in the preview area. After clicking the "Confirm" button, the layout page in the current Layout will display the setting result of Paper Size in real time.
Number of pages
You can set the number of pages that Layout browses horizontally or vertically. The total number of pages displayed is vertical pages × horizontal pages.
- Landscape: In the spin box to the right of the "Landscape:" tab in the "Layout Settings" group, you can set the number of pages to browse in landscape in Layout. Users can enter the number directly into the spin box, or use the spinner buttons to set the number of pages to be viewed horizontally.
- Portrait: In the spin box to the right of the "Portrait:" tab in the "Layout Settings" group, the user can set the number of pages to browse in portrait in Layout. Users can enter the number directly in the spin box, or use the fine tuning button to set the number of pages for vertical browsing.
Note: The browsing page number setting allows you to easily modify the page number of the layout page in Layout, that is, increase or decrease the horizontal or vertical layout page by setting, and expand or Zoom Out the overall size of the page, but the size and direction of each page of the layout page will not change.
Margins
The Margins button in the Page Setup group on the Layout tab sets the margin size for pages in the current Layout. You can easily select a system-defined paper margin in the Margins drop-down menu, or a margin size in the Custom Settings Page Setup "group dialog box.
Operating Procedure
- Click the Margin Drop-down Button to pop up a drop-down menu. Several common paper margins predefined by the system are listed in the drop-down menu. The user can select a paper margin that meets the requirements in the drop-down menu.
- If the common margin types listed in the "Margins" drop-down menu do not meet the user's needs, you can also click the "Custom Spacing" button at the bottom of the drop-down menu, or click the "Page Setup" group dialog box button to pop up the "Page Setup" dialog box.
- The user can click the Drop-down Button of the combo box on the right side of the Type tab in the Margin area of the Page Setup "dialog box, and select the name of a paper type that meets the requirements in the pop-up drop-down menu. At the same time, the numeric display box on the right side of the "Left", "Right", "Top" and "Bottom" items will display the specific value of the corresponding type of page margin. The unit is centimeter.
- Users can also enter values in the four numeric display boxes of "Left", "Right", "Top" and "Bottom" to customize the margin size.
- After the page margin is set, the user can preview the effect of the layout margin setting in the preview area in real time. When you click the Confirm button, the layout in the current Layout displays the results of the margin settings in real time.
