Adjust layout elements

The Object Operation tab is a contextual tab and is tied to Layout. This tab appears on the ribbon only when the currently active window in Application is Layout.

The Object Operation tab provides the ability to set the LayoutStyle of layout elements in Layout, including the order, Group and Ungroup, alignment, size, etc. Of layout elements.

Combine Layout Elements

  1. Select two or more layout elements in Layout.
  2. Object Operation tab-> Combination group-> Combination, which combines all the selected layout elements into one layout object.

Note: This button is valid only when two or more layout elements are selected in the current Layout.

Split Layout Elements

  1. Select one of the grouped layout objects in Layout.
  2. Object Operation tab-> Combine group-> Split, that is, split the selected Combine Layout Elements into individual layout elements.

Precautions

  • This button works only when only one combined layout object is selected in the current Layout.
  • Layout objects that can be split include legends and layout objects that are combinations of multiple layout elements.

Adjust the stacking order of layout elements

Object Operation tab-> Object Order group, which organizes the function of setting the superposition order of layout elements in Layout, including four modes: top, bottom, Move up one layer, and Move down one layer.

  • Top: It is used to move the selected layout element in Layout to the top of all layout elements.
  • Bottom: It is used to move the selected layout element in Layout to the bottom of all layout elements.
  • Move up one layer: Move element up for one level in the element layer window.
  • Move down one layer: Move element down for one level in the element layer window.

Precautions

  • The above buttons are valid only when there is only one selected layout element in the current Layout.

Adjust the Alignment of a Layout Element

Object Operation tab-> Alignment, which organizes the function of setting the alignment of layout elements in Layout.

  • Align Left: It is used to align two or more layout elements in Layout to the left, and the alignment benchmark is the last selected layout element. The Align Left button is available only if there are at least two selected layout elements in the current Layout.
  • Right Alignment: It is used to align two or more layout elements in Layout to the right, and the alignment benchmark is the last selected layout element. The Align Right button is available only if there are at least two selected layout elements in the current Layout.
  • Top Alignment: Used to set the top alignment of two or more layout elements in Layout. The alignment reference is the last selected layout element. The Align Up button is available only if there are at least two selected layout elements in the current Layout.
  • Bottom Alignment: used to set the bottom alignment of two or more layout elements in Layout. The alignment benchmark is the last selected layout element. The Align Below button is available only if there are at least two selected layout elements in the current Layout.
  • Horizontal Center: Keep the Horizontal Center based on an object for three or more selected layout elements. The center datum for Horizontal Center operations is the horizontal center of the last selected layout element. The Horizontal Center "button is available only if there are at least three selected layout elements in the current Layout.
  • Vertical Center: Keep the Vertical Center for three or more selected layout elements based on an object. The center datum for Vertical Center is the horizontal center of the last selected layout element. The Vertical Center "button is available only if there are at least three selected layout elements in the current Layout.
  • Vertical Alignment: Keep one or more selected layout elements centered vertically on the layout page. The Vertical Alignment "button is available only if there is at least one selected layout element in the current Layout.
  • Horizontal Center: Keep one or more selected layout elements centered in the horizontal direction of the layout page. The Horizontal Center "button is available only if there is at least one selected layout element in the current Layout.
  • Absolute Center: Keep one or more selected layout elements centered both horizontally and vertically on the layout page. Keep the selected layout element or elements centered both horizontally and vertically on the layout page.
  • Vertical Distribute: Keep three or more selected layout elements at the same distance in the vertical direction. The Vertical Distribute "button is available only if there are at least three selected layout elements in the current Layout.
  • Horizontal Distribute: Keep three or more selected layout elements at the same distance in the horizontal direction. The Horizontal Distribute "button is available only if there are at least three selected layout elements in the current Layout.
  • Absolute Distribute: Keep three or more selected layout elements at the same distance in both horizontal and vertical directions. The Absolute Distribute "button is available only if there are at least three selected layout elements in the current Layout.

Resize Layout Element

Support the function of setting the selected layout elements in Layout to the same size, width or height. When two or more Texts are selected at the same time, the following three function settings are invalid.

  • Equal width: It is used to set the width of all selected layout elements to be equal in Layout. Set the width of all selected layout elements to be equal based on the last selected layout element.
  • Equal height: Used to set the height of all selected layout elements to be equal in Layout. Set the height of all selected layout elements to be equal based on the last selected layout element.
  • Equal size ": used to set the height and width of all selected layout elements to be equal in Layout.". Set the height and width of all selected layout elements to be equal based on the last selected layout element.

Precautions

  • These buttons are only active when there are two or more selected layout elements in the current Layout.
