Function Description
Before starting the semi-automatic Raster to Vector, there must be at least one registered grid base map, followed by a Dataset for drawing vector lines or surfaces.
At the same time, the grid base map and the line/Region Dataset are opened in the same window, and the Vector Dataset is editable.
The functions in the Raster to Vector group on the desktop are available only when the above preparations are completed. Before the semi-automatic Raster to Vector, the parameters of the Raster to Vector need to be set.
The Raster to Vector Settings is used to set parameters in the semi-automatic vectorization process to provide a better interactive experience.
Function entrance
- Object Operation tab-> Raster to Vector group-> Settings button.
Parameter Description
- Raster map layer: Set the grid base map used for Raster to Vector. When there are multiple raster pictures, the Raster Layer that needs to be vectorized can be toggled with the drop-down arrow.
- Background color: Set the background color of the grid map. The background color of the raster map is not tracked during Raster to Vector. The default background color is white.
- Color tolerance: The color similarity of the grid base image. During vectorization, as long as the error of any component of RGB color is within this tolerance, the Application considers that vectorization can be continued along this color direction. The value range is 0-255, and the default value is 0.
- Number of pixels to filter: Set the de-aliasing filter parameter, that is, the Offset Y of the raster method to eliminate the aliasing jitter of the line object: distance (in image pixels). The default value is 0.7. The larger the de-aliasing filter parameter, the more points are filtered out.
- Smoothness: Smooth Line is required when Raster to Vector. The larger the Smoothness setting, the smoother the boundary of the resulting vector line/face.
- Automatic Moving Map: If selected, it means Automatic Moving Map. When vectorized to the Map boundary, the window moves automatically; otherwise, the map needs to be moved manually. Application is selected by default.

user in the Raster to Vector window will be Auto Save. The next time you open the Raster to Vector window, you can modify it based on the parameters set last time.
