Operation Instructions
- In an editable layer, select the geometry to be moved.
- In the Edit Data tab, in the General editing drop-down menu, click the Specify Orientation button in the Move and zoom group to perform the Specify Orientation (move object) operation.
- At this point, the mouse prompt says: “please specify the base point coordinates”. Click the mouse at an appropriate location on the map or enter coordinate values to determine the base point coordinates for the move.
- At this point, the mouse prompt says: “please specify target point coordinates”. Move the mouse on the map; the map will display a real-time preview of the object after the move (shown with dashed lines). Click the mouse at an appropriate location, or enter in the parameter input box the length the object's center point should move and its angle with the positive X-axis, then press Enter. The selected object will then move to the new location according to the specified distance and direction.
- If you continue to move the object, repeat the previous step until you right-click to end the current operation.
